Tim Tim Tim, why not let her explain herself first?! I'm happy that they are together again, but not that they misunderstand each other. I guess James Ma and Yaya would fit the roles of Fernando and Ayumi too.

Bieluvr, Tim is a damaged soul.  I think he is very different from Fernando.  When he loves someone, he loves them to the fullest and that's why he is hurt so bad.  Plus, he has only been with two girls his whole life so he does not know how to handle these sort of situation.  He is insecure in some ways and stubborn as well.  Fernando is the opposite but he has his faults as well.  Ayumi will be the person to uncover those wounds and hopefully heals them as well.  I have yet to reveal Fernando's childhood memories.   :) I'm going to give you a super duper hint pertaining to Ayumi.  Why is Ayumi following/investigating Brianna and her father?  Remember, when I first described Ayumi as someone who spoke Japanese fluently but did not look fully Japanese in appearance.

Brianna slaps Tim in the face.  “Then we have nothing to talk about.”

“Here, why don’t you just stab me in the heart and end it, said Tim as he picked up a knife on the ground.

Out of nowhere, a Night Stalker came and dragged Brianna by the hair up to the hill.  He was instructed by Chaos to kidnap her
because Chaos wanted Brianna to be his queen to lead the new revolution.

“Let go of her you dirty scumbag,” said Tim. “This time I won’t be rolling down the hill.”

The Night Stalker stop and pushes Brianna to the side.  “I will avenge my fallen comrades.”

“This time you will not be so lucky.”

The Night Stalker bull rushed Tim but he was able to avoid by delivering Bata Loop Pak.

“How do you like the taste of my shoe in your mouth?” said Tim.

Grrrrrrrrrr, said the Night Stalker.

The battle was short and vicious as Tim was able to block all of his opponent’s moves.  The work that he had put in with Uncle Boonmee was starting to pay off.  He was prepared to dodge the Night Stalker hyper beam by using a counter.

“Hanuman presents the ring, said Tim, as he clutches both of his fists together to deliver a devastating uppercut to the Night Stalker.
Tim was surprised, how was he able to generate that small amount of inner energy to destroy the beast?

Chaos was not all to thrill.  “Hydra, bring me his head.”  “But do no harm to the girl.”

Seeing that Hydra was heading his way, Tim picked Brianna up and started running.  He knew he was not her equal in this point in time.

“Come on, hurry, before she catches up, said Tim.

“What do you think I’m doing?” said Brianna.

“Well, you shouldn’t have worn those heels in the first place.”

Brianna takes her two heels out and tosses them at Tim.  “How do you like the taste of those heels now?”

“Listen,” he said. “It was the humanity in me that saved you.  Or else…?”

“Or else what?” Brianna said, as she has her hands on her knees trying to catch her breath.

They continued to argue until Frank and two of his men caught up to them. Sensing that an opportunity to teach Tim a lesson, Frank and his men encircled Tim like a pack of wolves about to devour their prey.  A minor scuffle broke out between them until they realizes that Hydra was behind.

“Guys, we can fight another day,” said Tim.  “Or we can all die today.”

They were terrified.  Hydra’s blood soaked eyes and stained lip was like an icy cold blast from the Artic.  Her stoic demeanor and icy glance was like a knife piercing through their souls.

Seeing that they had no choice, Tim and Frank’s men charge full steam ahead at Hydra but only to be repelled back by her powerful and precise counterattacks.

Hiding behind Brianna, Frank said, “What are we going to do?”

“Stop crapping your pant and come help us,” said Tim.

As Hydra got closer, Frank’s men threw themselves at her but only to have their eyes gouged by her lightning strike.

Laying on the ground moaning in pain, they said, “Help us.”

“Take that,” said Frank, as he threw wild jabs, cross, hook, and uppercut.  They were no avail as all of those shots missed their target
and with an opening, Hydra strike Frank in the groin.

Tim knew he had to do something but Hydra was too powerful for him.  It was as if she knew all the moves that he was going to throw at her.  All of his kicks and punches were ineffective towards her.  With a broken right arm and a damage abdominal, Tim looked at Brianna as if this was going to be the end.  Tim was broken, he was beaten and as he took his last breath, a sword came flying in cutting Hydra’s left arm.

I'm going to guess that it's Ayumi that attacked Hydra? So interesting, always leaving me at a cliffhanger. :)

Bieluvr, the clue about Ayumi's backgroumd comes from what Fernando thought of her.  It is foreshadowing.  Remember, Ayumi is fluent in Japanese and grew up there.  However, she doesn't look full Japanese.  Can she be a Happa?  Is she investigating Brianna's father for Tokyo Sky News or she is doing it for personal reason?  Oh, there is one italic sentence in there that is a big clue.   Edit: I added some Japanese words in Ayumi Vocabulary.   :p

“Stop right there,” said Taoist Chen. “What does the dead want with the living?”

“Hahahahhaha. You can’t stop us.  We are many,” said Hydra.

Standing in front of a badly injured Tim, Taoist Chen said, “I will send every one of you back to the underworld.”

Hydra came flying in at Taoist Chen like a speeding bullet.  She was relentless in her attack as she strikes the Taoist with a fury of lefts, rights, tops, and bottoms.  However, he was able to block all of her attacks and redirect that energy back at her.

“You might have won this round but I’ll be back,” said Hydra.  “You can’t protect them forever.”

With Hydra gone, Taoist Chen and Brianna carried Tim unconscious body down a wooded pathway until they came upon an old rustic house in the forest.

Back at the Gate of Yuan Wu, Fernando in state of panic as they try to find the whereabouts of Tim.

“Damn it, where the hell did he go,” said Fernando.  “Uncle, what if he got caught?”

“He got nine lives.  Something miraculous probably happened to him again.”

“I hope you’re Ok little buddy, said Fernando, as he walk passed numerous dead bodies.

“Fernando, Kate, Let’s go.” “We’ll eventually find him if he is dead.”

The field was soaked in blood as they trekked down the hill overlooking the long wooden trees.

“Look,” Said Kate.

Fernando shaking his head in disbelief.  “Why am I not surprised?” “Why, Why, WHY?

“Fernando, are you going to stand there? Or are you going to help me?” said Ayumi.

She was trapped clinging on a tree branch while being encircled by five members of the Red Dragon.

“Hurry, I’ll been up here for a while now.”

It was five against two but their skills were no match for the exemplary skills of Fernando and Uncle Jin. They were sent packing like a pack of dogs running with their tails behind their legs.

“Get down here right now,” said Fernando.

“Ok, if you indeed,” said Ayumi, as she jumps off the tree landing on Fernando’s arms.

“I shouldn’t caught you.”

“I know you were going to,” laughed Ayumi.

“Grrrrrrrrr.” Her rebellious nature reminded him of Brianna.  “Wipe that smirk off your face.”

“Young lady, what happened over there?” said Uncle Jin.

Fernando grabs her by the wrist.  “Oh, by the way, this is uncle.  And we want to hear the whole truth.”

“Well…I’ve followed Mr.MacCathy and his men up to the base of the hill.  As the fighting broke out, I was chased up the tree by the
Red Dragon.”

Uncle Jin knows that they would eventually hunt her down.  “You can’t stay at your hotel no more.”

“Yeah, yeah. That’s right you can’t stay there anymore,” smiled Fernando.  “Now text your photographer to bag your things and meet at this address.”

Ayumi became suspicious of Fernando’s motive.  “I just don’t like Charao guys like you?”

 “Charao?”

“In your language, it come out as a playboy,” said Ayumi.

“How so?” said Fernando with his devious smile.

“I’ve seen how you chara chara with those girls at the market.  I can sense those things.”

“I’m always friendly with the ladies especially one that is Kawaii like you,” said Fernando. Winking at Kate.  Isn’t that right Kate?

As the four of them got back to the rental house, Ayumi’s photographer was waiting for them at the entrance.
Hugging Daisuke, Ayumi said, “Are you alright?”

A seed of jealous sprouted in Fernando.  He couldn’t understand it.  It was a new sensation that he had never experienced before.

Awe. Fernando getting jealous and Tim and Brianna together alone again!!! :)
Yup.  More Fernando background and more Ayumi background tomorrow as well.  There's something between Ayumi and Brianna.  And it's not what you think as in something bad between the two.  :tease:  Neither one of the girls know the secret behind their family. That's all I can give out at the moment.

A seed of jealous sprouted in Fernando.  He couldn’t understand it.  It was a new sensation that he had never experienced before.

“So, is he your boyfriend?” Said Fernando.

“What if he is?” said Ayumi.

“Well…Er…Ok.” “You didn’t tell me you had a boyfriend at the marketplace.”

Ayumi was laughing so hard inside her head. “You should have known better.  Do you like how I played you?”

“Played?  I was just playing along with you sweetheart.”  “I man like Fernando can’t never be conquered.”

She was on to him and can tell that he was flustered.   “You see Daisuke, he is Bishonen.” “Just look at his muscle and hair style.”

“He doesn’t even have any muscle.  You want muscle, check these out. And these six pack abs.”

They went inside and Kate escorted Ayumi and Daisuke to their rooms.  Fernando took his phone out and there was a message from Brianna.

“Fernando, Tim is badly injured.  Taoist priest and I taking him to old house.”

“Uncle Jin, I just got a message from Brianna saying that Tim is badly injured.”

“Do you know where he is now?” asked Uncle Jin.

Shrugging his shoulders. “She with a Taoist priest.”

“That’s good to hear.  They’re in good hands then.”

Kate was listening in the background and she was beside herself hearing that Brianna is with Tim.  “Why does she has to have everything? The look? The family? Even Tim?”

It was dinner time, the table was set and Fernando could hear Ayumi and Kate preparing their supper in the kitchen.  Daisuke was messing around with the lenses on his camera.

With his broken Japanese, Fernando said, “Is Ayumi your girlfriend?”

“I don’t understand,” said Daisuke.

Fernando took out his phone and handed it to Daisuke to read the translation.  “Is she your Gārufurendo?”

“Friend yes.  Gārufurendo no.”

Fernando was all smile as his suspicion was correct.  “Thank you, Arigatō my friend.”

After they had dinner, Fernando pulled Ayumi aside and he took her to the balcony.  The stars were glittering and Mars was unusually bright that night.

“Mars was the god of war,” said Fernando. “And I feel like we’re on that same path.”

“Ok, Go on.” said Ayumi.

The warm summer breeze blew the sunflower plant on the floor.

“I just want to be open with you,” said Fernando. “I don’t want to play this game anymore.”

“What game?”

“Since the first time I saw you, there was something different about you.” “I dunno what it is.”

Ayumi badly wanted to tell him that she was the ninja the temple ruin but she chose not to. “I’m just an average Japanese girl. Nothing special.”

“Your smile, your goofy laugher, your eyes, and your charisma are unmatched.”

“I’m probably like all the girls you’ve been with,” said Ayumi.

Fernando put his hands over her and looked straight into her eyes. “Yes, I have been with many girls, but they have never made me jealous.”

“My father always told me to guard my heart,” said Ayumi.  “I don’t even know anything about you.”

Fernando reached over and hugged her tightly. “Open your heart and let me tell you.”

“My family is the White Lotus Society.  Uncle Jin and Uncle Chai were the one who raised me up.”

“Wait, what happened to your parents?” said Ayumi.

“They were murdered.”

A sadness overcame Ayumi after hearing about her parents.

“Growing up, I didn’t have many friends. I was home school because I was picked on by bullies.”

Fernando looked at a cat walking the street.  “I was like him.  All alone.”

“You had no friends?” asked Ayumi.

“I’ve made friend inside the White Lotus but it wasn’t the same.” “I craved that intimacy.”

Ayumi now understands why he had been with so many girls and why alcohol was his go to drink.  He was lonely and he craved a warm loving family.

“What about Tim?  I’ve heard you talk about him with Uncle Jin.”

He smiled.  “Timmy is like my little brother.  We’re like Yin and Yang.  He is part of my family now.”

I'll have more in-depth conversation between Tim and Brianna tomorrow.  Plus, Taoist Chen teaches Tim about life lessons especially about dealing with failures and disappointment.  Pay attention to how Ayumi describes her family.

“What about Tim?  I’ve heard you talk about him with Uncle Jin.”

He smiled.  “Timmy is like my little brother.  We’re like Yin and Yang.  We’re family now.”

Fernando felt much better.  He did have a family now.  “How about you tell me about your family?”

“I just live with my father and grandparents,” she said.

“What about your mom?”

“Left when I was born.”

“Where did she go?”

“Heaven, giving birth to me.”

Fernando was shocked.  The sadness and sorrow in her eyes spoke loud and clear.  He didn’t know what to do.  All of these emotions were new to him and Ayumi was the one bringing all of them out.  It was during his training at the White Lotus Society headquarter that he was instructed to always detach himself from his personal and surrounding emotions.  At the end, he went over and gave her a warm hug.

“My father never mentioned who my mother was,” said Ayumi.  “I don’t even know what she looks like.” “Or who my relative are?”

Fernando just held her hands while they looked at the stars.

“It’s like he’s hiding something from me.  I can tell my mom is not Japanese.  Being mixed, people always looked at me when I go to the market.”

It was getting late but Fernando didn’t want her to be sad before heading to bed.  Wiping her tears with his handkerchief.  “Tell me about the real Ayumi?  What does she like to do?”

“You can find her fishing with her father in the ocean. Or hiking in the pristine mountain.”
With her goofy laugh, Ayumi said, “Now, do you still want to be with her?  She’s very independent.”

“Er…I guess there’s a first time for everything,” said Fernando.

“How about this? How about we take it one day at a time?” said Ayumi.

Fernando was appreciative of her honesty and her love of the great outdoors.  She was different from him as he had never been with a vibrant girl like her before. “I would love that.” They continue to talk for another hour on various issues before each headed to their room to go to bed.

Back at the old rustic house, Tim laid lifeless on the straw covered bed for almost a day now.  His body was covered with bruises, one of his arm was broken, and there were internal injuries to his abdominal.  As he slowly opened his eyes, he can see that his broken arm had been wrapped in a white linen cloth and that his body was scented with herbal medicines.  A nagging pain came from his stomach and he remembered that Hydra had landed multi-punches to that area.

“Tim, you’re awake,” said Brianna.

As soon as he saw her, Tim tried to turn his back on her but was unsuccessful due to the aches and pains in his body.

“You don’t have to talk to me,” she said.  “If you want to get better, you need to listen to me.”

“Tim, you’re awake,” said Brianna.

As soon as Tim saw her, he tried to turn his back on her but was unsuccessful due to the aches and pains in his body.

“You don’t have to talk to me,” she said.  “If you want to get better, you need to listen to me.”

With a faint whisper, Tim said, “I just want to be left alone.”

“No. You’re never be healed from your injuries if you don’t take this herbal tea.”

“If I die it shouldn’t matter to you,” he said, as he swats the cup away from her hands.

“What do you want me to say?” Brianna cried.  “That I lied to you.  That I used you. That my love for you wasn’t real.”

“Yeah, that it.”  The pain was becoming unbearable for Tim as his body was in shock from the trauma that it received.

“Taoist,” yelled Brianna.  “He is in shock.”

Taoist Chen rushed into the house. “Hold his shoulder up for me.”  He proceeded to sit behind Tim to initiate his own inner energy so he can heal Tim from his injuries.

“Keep him steady for me Brianna.” He then motioned his hand on Tim’s back and his inner energy went into Tim’s body.  The session was intense as stream can be seen percolating through Tim head.

Brianna was astonished.  She had never seen anything like this before except maybe in the movies.  “How did you…?”

“There many things in life that can’t be easily explained,” said Taoist Chen.   “Now, take good care of him.”

“I will,” said Brianna.

“I’ll be back.  I have to go into the wood to mediate to recover my inner energy.”

It has been over a day now, and Tim still hasn’t regain consciousness and Brianna was starting to become concerned.  She was fretting and toiling over all the little things that was around him.  Was he having a fever?  Was his body clean? Was there bugs around him?
It was midafternoon when Tim started to show sign of sign.  "Mom, mom, I’m coming back home," he said.

Brianna could see that he was dreaming and rushed over to wipe the sweat of his face.

"Tim, you’ll be all right," she said.

“Brianna I loved you, how could you?” he mumbled, as a single tear ran down his face.

“I’m here Tim, please wake up.”  Brianna knew there would be plethora of hurdles that they must face but she was willing to face them with Tim. “I just want you to know that you’re the one I love.”

Tim was awaken by a melodious sound of a flute coming from outside the house.  He gently laid Brianna on the side of the bed and went out to investigate who was playing the flute.

“Taoist, it’s you,” he said.

“How’s your wounds?” Taoist Chen said.

Which one Tim thought to himself? The ones on the outside or the one on the inside?  “They’re starting to heal.”

“Good.  Let’s take a walk down the stream.”

“How do you think your life is going so far?” said Taoist Chen.

Tim couldn’t understand why the Taoist was asking him that question.  His whole life was like a giant jigsaw puzzle and he felt like he hasn’t come close to putting it all together.

"I'm just a loser" said Tim.  "I can't do anything right." "My love life is a big mess.  And I have no career."

"You see that big green leaf on that tree?" said Taoist Chen. "It will eventually fall to the ground."

Tim was confused.  "I don't quite understand."

The Taoist was trying to get Tim to under the complexity of life.  "If the wind blows that leaf, it would not land on its original location." Now, tell me about an area of your life that you're really happy about?"

That's a hard one Tim thought to him.  "I guess my relationship with my family."

"Why are you happy with that area?" said Taoist Chen.

A warm breeze came by and blew that big green leaf to the ground.

"It's because you're life condition in that area matches your blueprint, said Taoist Chen.

A light bulb suddenly popped inside Tim's head. "So I have a bad blueprint for some areas of my life?"

The Taoist nodded his head.

Tim sighed. "So my frustrated, pain, stress, and unhappiness is all due to my false outlook? After graduating school, I thought I was going to conquer the corporate world."

"Let me guess," said Taoist Chen.  "You lost your desire for that life style."

Tim thought about how his boss had treated him. "Yeah, he treated me like a commodity.  I got burned out being overworked."

"So you felt trapped and had nowhere to go?" said Taoist Chen.

"All the effort that I had put into my career. It was gone.  I felt like I let a lot of people down in my life.

"The Taoist pointing at a small stream nearby.  "Alter your blueprint.  Just like the stream is altering its course from that rock."

"That young lady back there needs an answer from you.  Are you going to alter your blueprint for her?"

If you only knew what she did to me?  How can I ever trust hear Tim thought to himself?

"And one more thing," said Taoist Chen.

He took his sword out and started to demonstrate to Tim that mastering any style of martial art takes time and effort.  "It took me years to master my Kung Fu.  Trust your teacher, have faith you’re going in the right direction."

You should definitely. It'll help me understand more. :)

Here it is.  It's a bit descriptive that's why I left it off because I wanted to rework it some more.  I thought the prologue was kind of boring so that's why I didn't included it in the beginning.

The rain was pouring and the wind was howling as Timothy was contemplating which direction he wanted to move forward with his life.  Pacing back and forth, he glanced at his wall and saw all of his diplomas, certificates, and awards but they had no meaning to him.  “There have to be more meaning to life than this,” Tim said.

Early that morning, he had just quitted his fourth jobs in four years and it was emotionally draining for him.  Tim have had enough of Mr. Miller micro-managing him to death about the various setup displays at the store.  “Why did you hired me to be the display manager if you’re not going to let me do my job,” mumbled Tim.

While driving home, he saw a job ad on a billboard stating that they were looking for free-lance reporter and even those with no previous experiences were encouraged to apply.  Tim wasn’t sure what to make of this ordeal.  This job would give him lots of freedom in his day to day activity but it would require him to get out of his comfort zone as he would have to travel around the world to cover various events that his employer would ask of him.

After pulling into his driveway and entering the door, he can see that his mother was making his favorite dish – PHO.  The aroma in the air very intoxicating because PHO always bring joy to his face.

He rushed to give his mom a kiss and said, “Mom, I have something to tell you.”

“Is it something good or bad?” she asked.

“It is both mom,” Timothy answered back.  “I’ve just quit my job but I think I found a new one.  It is free-lance reporting and it would require me to travel a bit though.”

His mom came and sat next to him on the kitchen table.  “Are you sure this is what you really wanted to do honey?” I hope this is the right one for you and that it will be bring peace into your life.”

“I hope so. Maybe I can land you a future daughter-in -law,” Timothy jokingly said to his mother.  Tim knew that he would have to give up playing video game regularly and he would miss seeing his nieces and nephews.

The rain continues to pour and as he watch the garbage container flap back and forth outside his window, he made that faithful decision to call that number on the billboard he had jotted down early.  “What’s the worst that could happen to me?” he thought to himself.

“Hello, is this the Free International Journal?” he asked the old lady on the line.  “Is your organization still hiring for the free-lance reporter opening?”

“Yes, we still have a couple of these spots left and we are interviewing on the spot for these positions.”  Tim became perplexed on why they would interview on the spot without even doing an extensive background check or knowing anything about the potential candidates.

“Sir, please forward your resume to us so we can review it tonight and please be here at 9:00 A.M sharp tomorrow if you’re interested in the position.”  She said.

As suspicious as he was with their organization, he agree to be there tomorrow morning for the interview.  “Ok, I will be there for my interview madam.” Timothy replied.

Later that night, when the rain started to die down, he did a search online about the organization and he found nothing suspicious at all.  They had a simple webpage describing their mission and on the front page there were links to a Facebook, twitter, and Instagram page.  The webpage and social media pages were up to date on the latest news and happening in the organization.  While unwrapping his Klondike ice cream bar, he noticed that on each of the pages, there was a watermark of a white lotus in the lower left hand counter of each page.

“What kind of news organization uses a white lotus as their symbol?” he mumbled as he downed the ice cream.  There were many questions that needed to be answered, but he knew that worrying about it right then would not do him any good.

It was a drizzly morning as Tim pulled up to the interview location.  He could see that it was an old brick building with a couple of windows board up and that Free International Journal sign was missing a few letters to it.

Upon entering the building, he could see Chinese writing on the left side of the wall in which he couldn’t make out the meaning of.  The aesthetic of the front lobby was that of an ancient Chinese gathering place filled with ancient artifacts, painting, and furniture.  The old lady wearing a black traditional Chinese garment was the same lady that confirmed his interview for today.  “Mr. Jacobson please you follow me. My boss is ready to interview you,” she said.

The hallway was filled with pictures of famous TV reporters and independent news journalists that Tim had saw on local and international television.  His favorite was Jimmy A. Tsai who had covered various important events around the world including the finding of the Terracotta Warriors, the finding of Troy, Sumerian cities, and many more.  She opened the fourth door and right there was a man who was in his early 60’s with thinning silver hair waiting for him in his traditional Chinese garment.  He thought to himself, “I hope this is nothing similar to the movie Big Trouble in Little China because if it is, I am in big trouble.”

“Please have a seat and make yourself at home Mr. Jacobson,” said Mr. Chai as he was examining Tim’s resume.

“I see that this is going to be your fifth job in a little over four year.  Are you going to be able to endure and complete the assignment given to you?  Because I need men like Mr. Tsai who will go to get length to get the best scoop for our publication and men who are loyal to this publication.”

Tim looked Mr. Chai in his face and smiled, “I never quitted any job in my life, and I’m just looking for the right fit.”
As the interview came to end at the thirty-four minute mark, Mr. Chai asked Tim if he had anything questions regarding the position.

Tim gathered himself after pondering for a few seconds and then he started to ask a myriad of questions.  “How am I compensated? How long are my assignments? How dangerous will my job be?  Am I traveling with anyone?”

“Those are good questions,” said Mr. Chai.  “You will be compensated when your assignment is done and how fast you complete your assignment determines it duration.  Your job is no dangerous than any other journalistic jobs and our veteran photo journalist
Fernando will be accompanying you on your various assignments.”

Mr. Chai then dialed his office phone to tell Fernando to come down from the fourth floor to come meet Timothy.  The office door opened up and in came a medium build man in   his early 30’s with dark brown hair and light brown eyes.  It was something about him that was oozing with confidence but Tim could not quite tell what it is.

“Tim, I would like you to meet Fernando, and Fernando I would like you to meet Timothy our new journalist at the Free International Journal,” said Mr. Chai.

“It is a pleasure to meet you Timmy if I made call you that,” as Fernando was reaching his hand out to shake Tim’s hand.  “I don’t have any problem with that as long as we complete our assignments on time, replied Tim.”

As the men were sitting down at the office discussing various current events.  Mr. Chai started to fold his hand in anticipation of Timothy joining the staff.   “Are you ready to sign your contract to join our great organization Tim?”

Timothy pause for a second and then he looked both of the gentlemen in the eyes, “I am ready to join your great organization.

“And are you really sure about this job because this job will be like no other job you have had before,” smiled Fernando, as he was wanted to make sure Timothy was making a sound decision in joining the team.

“Yes, I’m sure.  When will we start?"

You and Fernando will fly out tomorrow on a twenty-four hour non-stop flight to Thailand to investigate a new ancient ruin that has been discovered in Nong Khai province.”

Timothy was shocked and bewildered by the sudden departure time.  “Aren’t we moving a little too fast on the assignment?”

“When you’re in the news business, you have to move at lightning fast speed or else your competitors will publish the news in their publication first.  Fernando have had first-hand experience with this when he first started out.   So gentlemen, please be at Mitchell International Airport at 9:00 A.M. tomorrow morning so that you don’t miss your flight.”

Haven't updated in a day or so because I just started a new job.  I'm starting very positive though because my ultimate goal is to become an author.  I just love the freedom to put my thought on paper and share exciting new world with my readers.  Take a look at the italic sentence down below.  :lmao:

The Taoist pointing at a small stream nearby.  "Alter your blueprint.  Just like the stream is altering its course from that rock."

“The problem is that I don’t know what my blueprint is,” said Tim.  “I’m not even sure I’m heading in the right direction.”

“It won’t be long before you realize what your purpose is,” said Taoist Chen.  Your heart, your mind, your body, and soul will be your guide.”

Tim was conflicted.  Is Brianna part of that plan?  What about the White Lotus?  “I’m gonna have to think about it.”

The Taoist then threw a small pebble into the stream.  “See, what I just did there?”

Tim just shrugged his shoulder.

“You can't control events but you can control what things mean to you,” said Taoist Chen. “What it means to me is that I’m trying expand your mind.”

The two of them kept walking until they came upon a rocky cliff filled with vegetative overgrowth.  It was a place where Taoist Chen would come to mediate and disconnect from the outside world.  Underneath those luscious green foliage and underbrush lies a cold dry icy cave.  In the middle was a large aquamarine boulder that looked like it was subliming but it was actually the ice underneath it that was generating the evaporation.

“Tim, go sit down on that boulder,” said Taoist Chen.

“It’s icy cold,” Tim said, as the hairs on his arms and legs were standing upright.

“You’ll get used to it.  This boulder will help cleanse your soul and guide you toward the heavenly realm. ”

“Now close your eyes, relax, and take a deep breath,” said Taoist Chen.

Tim could feel a surge of energy entering his body.  The Qi inside of his body was increasing and it helping his body repair all the damages done by Hydra.

“Taoist, I can feel my inner energy increasing.”

“As your inner energy increases, it will be easier for you to master your fighting style.”

In his meditative state, Tim could see a person jumping in behind him taking a piercing shot to the stomach in his place.  He could not make out who it was because it was a fast moving scene.  In the final scene, Tim could see a baby crying as a fierce battle was going on and people were being killed left and right.

Tim was shaken as he opened up his eyes.  Who was going to die in his place?  Who was the baby crying in that battle?

“Taoist, can I ask you a question?”

“If it pertains to the visions you saw, you must be the one to interpret them,” said Taoist Chen.

Tim was perplexed.  He was left with more questions than answers.  It was getting dark when they got out of the cave and as they made their way back to the house, Taoist Chen gave a piece of the aquamarine boulder to Tim.

“Keep this,” said Taoist Chen.  “Keep it with the special amulet that you got.”

Tim was stunned.  How did he know that Tim was in possession of a special amulet from the Reusi?    “How did you…?”

“His immense power radiate through that amulet,” smiled Taoist Chen.

Foreshadowing it is. :) Bieluvr, you have to find your passion.  The reason why I didn't read or write for a long time was due to college.  I was forced to read and write about subjects that I had no interest in at all.  My flame was extinguish and I was out of the loop for a long time.  Writing just give me that freedom and I am able to put whatever is in my head on paper.  There are so many twists and turns with this story that I can't spill it yet.  Plus, I have to do some research on some specific topics.  I've started an oultine for book two already titled "Black Rose."  That's all I can give out cuz it would give out the ending of this book.    It has something to do with that vision though.   :tease:

The arrival of Tim and the Taoist relieved Brianna of her uneasiness of being alone at night in the forest.   Her anxiety, her trepidation had all subsided once she heard Tim’s voice.  Tim’s voice was like the rich harmonious sound coming from the London Symphony Orchestra.  It was soothing just as it was calming.

“Tim, you’re moving,” she exclaimed.  “Your wounds, they’re almost gone.”

“I guess, they are,” said Tim nonchalantly.

The Taoist could feel that there were still tension between the two so he started a small bonfire to encourage them to communicate to each other.

“Whatever is in your heart, let it out between the two of you,” said the Taoist.  “I’ll be back. I’m going to the stream to see if I can catch some fishes for dinner.”

“I just want you to know that it wasn’t my intension to deceive you,” said Brianna.  “The love I have for you is unconditional and it will never change.”

“I have forgiven you after speaking to the Taoist.”

Brianna smiled. “He is indeed a very wise men.”

Jabbing the bonfire with a small stick, Tim said, “The deck on my boat can only accommodate two person.  Are you that special person?”

“You should know by now.  My luggage are inside the boat’s cabin already, said Brianna.”

Tim was determine not to repeat the same episode with Brianna again so he thought of three special metrics to employ in their relationship.  “Then you should be OK with my three clauses.”

“Let me guess. Loyalty, honesty, and unconditional love.”

“Nothing but snake eyes,” Tim replied.  “You wanna take another guess?”

Brianna was baffled.  If those are not the three then what could they be?  Could he playing a game with me she thought? What the heck is snake eyes?  “Um….”

“It’s fun, fun, and fun silly,” said Tim.  “I just want to enjoy every moment of life with my love ones.  “I wanna be free like the soaring eagles.”

Taking a photo out of his wallet.  “You see right, she is the most important person in my life.”

“You looks like your mom,” smiled Brianna.

On her left is my baby sister and her three children.  “Those three kids always bring a smile to my face when I’m down.”

He laid his hands on her and looked deeply in her eyes.  “Are you sure you wanna with a guy like me? I can’t offer you the luxury lifestyle that you’re used to?  And I’m definitely not from a noble background like Frank.”

Brianna could understand where Tim was coming from but her love for him was beyond any material goods.  “I love you because of your heart of gold.  I love you because of your deep love for your family.”

“I want to be open with you today,” she said.  “I’m not really an archaeologist.” “My father owns one of the biggest jewelry chain in Ireland.”

Tim chuckled.  “Well, I’m not surprised.  What kind of archaeologist travel with high heels and expensive clothing?”

“I have a secret to tell you,” Brianna said.  If her father was here, he would be furious with her but her fear of losing Tim was far greater.  “Um…er…my father belongs to a secret organization just like you and Fernando.” “My family are direct descendant of a noble knight.”

Tim was awestruck. It was as if he was watching history unfold beneath his eyes on TV.

“It’s not what you think,” she said.  “We belongs to the Irish branch of the Knights Templar.”

Tim finally figured it out.  The puzzle became very clear to him.  “So, Frank is from the British branch of the Knights Templar?”

She nodded.  “Our marriage was supposed to unite the two branches together.”

Hernandez, feel free to share it with her.  Bieluvr, I've added a few surprises in here.  I actually deviated from my original outline a bit because I feel like this was a better fit.  Plus, it would add intrigue to the sequel to this book.  What is Chaos up to?  Why is he located in the Bay Area?  Will Ayumi learn about her mother?  Who is her mother?  Why was Fernando's parents murdered?  Stay tune.   :dance1:  Will Frank really betray Brianna's father?

She nodded.  “Our marriage was supposed to unite the two branches together.”

“What about the medallions?  Why are the Knights Templar looking for them?”

Brianna paused.  She remembered her father telling her about Excalibur and what it would mean to be in possession of it.  “We need all four of the medallions to help us locate where Excalibur is.  The power of these medallions was supposed to help appease the Lady of the Lake.”

“That’s it,” said Tim.

“That’s only half of it,” replied Brianna.  “Whoever is in possession of Excalibur will have the power to control all the branches of the Knights Templar.”

“That’s no different than the Demonic Cult,” said Tim.  “Too much power corrupts the soul.”

Brianna was in total agreement with Tim.  “I haven’t been happy since my father embarked on this perilous journey.  Too many people have lost their lives.”

The two of them continue to talk until Taoist Chen came back with three small fishes from the stream.

“Eat up,” said Taoist Chen.  “Tomorrow, we’re continue your training.”

The Red Light district and the underground casinos in Shenzhen was the breeding ground of the Red Dragon.  It was where they had setup shop, it was where their power emanated to the rest of their power base especially in Hong Kong, Macau, and Bangkok.

“Welcome, to our lair,” said Wang Luofu.  “You and your men can occupy this whole floor.”

Chaos was impressed.  It was a new skyscraper in the middle of downtown Shenzhen with access to Hong Kong just minutes away.

“We won’t be bothering you too long.  “I shall repay your generosity when you visit the Bay Area.”

“Nonsense, my friend.  Our partnership is the start of a new world order,” laughed Wang Luofu.  “Those who stand in our ways will die.”

Suddenly, a knock came from outside the door.

“Who is it? It better be important,” said Wang Luofu.

“It is Master Luofu.”

Standing at the door was Hydra and Slash.  Hydra was distraught and distressed because she knew Chaos will not accept any failures.

“Where’s the girl?” asked Chaos.

“Um…I could explain my lord.”

Chaos’ eyes turned dark red and his voice changed to a dark and sinister tone.  “YOU MEAN YOU FAILED?”  He raises his hand and backhanded her.  “IMBECILE.” “Your failures have bought great shame to our cult.”

“But my lord,” said Slash.  “We’ve captured a man that was traveling with her at that time.”

It a tattered and beaten Frank was shoved into the room.

“He is of no use,” said Chaos.  “Get rid of him.”

Rapid thoughts ran through Frank’s head.  Would he betray the Knights Templar?  If he did, he would be a mark man even his family
would disown him.  He had no other options.  It was either that or die a gruesome death.

“I know who has the lost medallion from Mesopotamia.”

“Spill it,” said Wang Luofu.

“Connor MacCathy.”

“How do we know you’re telling the truth?”

Wiping the blood from his mouth, Frank said, “You don’t have to.  But what I do know is that the White Lotus is in possession of the other two.”

Wang Luofu walked over to Chaos and whisper softly.  “No one can stop us with both the medallions and the manual.”  “We must stop the White Lotus from acquiring the all four.”

Agreed, said Chaos.

“How can we trust you to deliver the medallion to us from the old man?” said Wang Luofu.

“You have my word,” said Frank.

“That is not enough fool.”  Wang Luofu reached inside of his pocket and handed Frank a pill.

“Take this pill to show your allegiant to us.” “Once your mission is complete, you’ll get the antidote.”
