Payong was one of my favorites from the past. And I would love to see a newer version. Maybe I will like it more than Num and Kob version. Everyone has opinion about everything; I am a sucker for romance and this I will watch.

yeah i hope this new version of Alex+Taew will be good. hope there is a lot of love scenes.i didn't like the version with Nom+Kob. from what i remember there wasn't that much romance. wasn't it? well i don't remember that much about it, i was a bit young to remember that time. heheh. well can't wait to see Alex+Taew in here. they are so cute!

I know me too so excite they'll be another lakorn together! They're just perfect for each other, can never get enough of them both! I hope their will be more romance in this remake if there wasn't in the other versions. I'll be dissapointed if not!

Actually Sornram version was very good...He did an excellent job...the only thing bad about the lakorn was the little interaction that Num and Kob had, so I think to make it interesting they need to make the lead have more scenes together...I never watched Oil version but I doubt it was that good because I don't think Oil can show as much emotion as Num can because the character for Pra'ek in this lakorn was very difficult a good person with a temper and alot of pressure. Watch Num and Kob version it was very good I think it was their first lakorn together.

completely agree with almost everything you said especially about the little interaction b/wn kob and num. :D can't say much about oil, because i'm not very familiar with his work. num is definitely a superb actor. he's good at what he does.

i just wanna share Nom+Kob pictures from Payong. this la korn is 16 yrs old. air 1992.the la korn is about love and pride. after pra aek went to stay with his relatives in kruentep. there was misunderstanding that occur and nang aek thought pra aek forgot about her. after they grow up. he became a pilot. she became a doctor & cure people in the mountain. pra aek got in an accident, plane crash. and was taken to the village where nang aek was the doctor, she cure him. here she was call "Na seur". she deny she's not "Suay" and don't know him, so he find every way to prove she's "Suay" the girl he love.

Aww, Num and Kob looked super young and cute! Waa, the old version aired when I was just born O_O

yep it was a long time ago. Kob was like 14 in here. can't wait to see the new version with Alex+Taew. they will be super cute as well. :D

Yeah alex doesn't lol kob and num were younger than alex&taew they're 17/18 right now while when kob&num did this lakorn they were 14-16. num look older than his age at that time.

I don't mind Taew in the new remake but Alex? I guess he's better than alot of other p'eks but to me he's still young and he doesn't have the aura of a p'ek, not yet, maybe in a couple of more years but not yet...

no offense...

I'm fine with Alex acting her is good! Alex just needs to get taller, lol he still has a long way to go. He's only 17 :)

Alex is 18 already. he's in first year of college. but yeah he looks young for his age. he's not short. but he isn't fully grown yet. Nom was 18-19 when he play in Payong. but he look mature for his age. i think Alex will play this character very well. because his acting is very good. i'm happy he get to play as pra aek again and Taew will be cute& play her character very well too. can't wait to see their version. they should have film earlier. October is kinda too long. heheh.

I think October is good so it will give them time apart. Since they had 2 lakorns aired this year. This will probably air next summer, I hope :)

Actually Num was 18 when they did this lakorn and Alex is the same age now also but somehow Alex still has his baby face but Num didn't, lol.

It was confirmed a month/couple weeks ago. I don't know I didn't see confirmation anywhere but I just got it from teedee :)
