This lakorn is not setting the ratings on fire is it?
It’s not really keeping up the higher ratings that Kimmy and Mario’s lakorn had and that Kong Karm had. It’s just eh. Not too bad but not good. Most of ch3’s ratings this year have been in the threes.

@m3lhouse that’s a good way to think about it, i don’t doubt Yaya’s acting and yes Jma do have a lot of fans, i love him but i feel he just suits roles like the nice and quiet p’ek. Haven’t watch KB but wanted to because of him

Kimmy and Mario's lakorn didnot get high rating as KKSL (see below). I was so surprised because I heard so much buzz for that one. But I guess you got the viewership rating of the Urban area, which sometimes higher than that of the Rural area.

If you compare the nationwide rating, Thong Eak's highest rated episode is episode 1 which managed to score 3.4 only.

Kong Karm picked up quite quickly from ep 3.
KKSL has just started, so we can't say for now if it can do better. I like Yaya, but I think she overacted Song Peep a bit. If she toned it down a bit, that would be better.

So far, I enjoy this lakorn (mostly because Yaya is so pretty, even as the hateful Song Peep, and though she plays 4 different persons, you still don't think it's the same Yaya), However, I'm quite disappointed with the struggle, action scenes.

*Spoilers alert - Stop here if you haven't watched ep 1

For example, the rape scene at the begining is not very convincing. When the guy was strangled, you can see the ribbon wrapped very loosely around his neck. If I was the director, I would ask for a retake. Secondly, in ep 4. when the two main guys fought each other to climb the palm tree for Song Peep, the fighting was really fake.

I haven't seen any of James' work before. I think he does ok in this one, but his character is quite boring, so there's not much he can do about it. I agree that Pop is pulling my attention more than James. JM looks cute in still images, but in action, sometimes his eyes look very weird and it's a distraction.

That is not the original ratings for Kimmy and Mario’s lakorn. That’s the rerun ratings.
These are the ratings for when the lakorn first aired http://instagr.am/p/BvQirBmhAx_/ Agree about the overacting based on the first two episodes I’ve seen so far. Not too bad but definitely a little over the top.

You're sharing TA's evening re-run ratings. The original run has higher ratings lol it's the highest rated lakorn of the year lol

When your ratings fluctuate, it tells that the lakorn isn't that enjoyable yet. KKSL went up and down, means people still aren't that engaged. For KKSL, it's true why it's flucutuating. The last 2-3 episodes were not that good. It's just dragging and there's really nothing that great about what's been shown that's why people left... just interesting to see Yaya's acting but storyline wise it's stupid lol But it's early it still has a chance to pick up. First 4-6 episodes are crucial to see the direction of the ratings but if this lakorn has a high amount of episodes the low ratings early on isn't that significant. This storyline is also niche. Unless you're a fan of the leads, people don't flock to this type of storyline they'll only watch it if the buzz is high enough to make them curoius. It can be a grower in ratings but if it really sucks in execution then it's not gonna do much in ratings. I wouldn't knock these ratings until maybe after 6 episodes and see how the next two does... but average wise fluctuating is not a good sign.

Yaya raeng acting here is as good as Kim's in raeng pradtana = fake with a sprinkle of overacting
Laugh at some of her facial expressions

Been occupied so have not caught up to current episodes, but this thread is amusing lol. Don't need to see much and I can guess on the story line so might just look through various medias for Songpeep clips instead. Songpeep is such a character, curious if some of her reactions and scenes were written as comic relief. :risas3:

Anyone know if this is being subbed anywhere? So far from the clips I've seen on IG it looks to be interesting.
Have you try this? I don't know much about this site since I don't need sub.

I'm all caught up now but there's not much to talk about haha. It's not one of those lakorns where I'm like OOOH can't wait until blah blah blah lol. It's more like, lets see how this develops type of lakorn lmao. If Yaya wasn't in here I'm not sure if I would watch either. I think the storyline has its potential like evil twin back in the day getting haunted in present time. But it seems to be missing something that could make it more exhilarating. Lol.

I think the little girl acts the best hahahha she speaks the dialect well and just seems so natural. The second lead girl, idk her name (Fai? she was in Nang Barb lol). Her wig is like the cheapest thing on a budget here hahah. She looks better in the past life. And I used to not like her acting but she's good in here too haha she's cute with Pop. Guess tables have turned in the present life where he's more interested in her. I like that haha.

Songpeep is so ratchet lol The script isn't exactly funny I think it's coz Yaya is playing it and it's strange to see her in this light lol I actually think her scenes as Songpeep from ep 2 were better than this week's episodes that's why it's strange that the ratings drop because ep 2 was very good so it should've brought more viewers to episode 3. But the way that ratings work, the amount of viewers are measured by the amount of people left at the end of the episode. So if ep 3 was as boring as people said, then maybe people did tune in at the beginning of the episode but they switched the channel or turned it off when it was dragging that's why the recorded ratings are low coz you can see the views for the streaming of the episodes are increasing by the episodes. They say it should pick up next week coz that's when Mor Sup will know they're twins lol and it will be more drama, no more funny Songpeep but evil Songpeep will come out.

That little girl is feisty lol she too outshined James Ma when she dissed him loloololol if you can't outshine James Ma you must be a tree in the background coz it doesn't take much lol I've never seen the girl who plays Sonpeep's slave before but I like her too she's hilarious lol

Lol she's saving most of his scenes for real though hahaha. Yeah the second girl she's really likeable hahah she's not those slaves who try to stir up the pot, she just has to have Songpeep's back or else she'd get smacked up hahaha.

I think Yaya's scenes this week seem comedic cause the way she falls for James. Like she's so awe-struck hahah even though he isn't that much of a looker. Her evil ass scenes last week were bomb. Haha she expressed her character really well and I felt hella bad for her weak character. We just need that next week again hahah.

She called him, ngam... uhhhhh James Ma is not Ngam lol hahahahahhaaha but ok we're all pretending in here lol Songpeep's slave is the smartest person in KKSL coz she knows how to SURVIVE lol you better do what she wants before you get GOT lol
