Latest news has it that p’Off found a new story and it’s called Kong Karm. This story draws inspiration from p’Off after the success of Tong Neau Gao. The story involves n’ek who is a prostitute, who meets p’ek from an upper class status and falls in love. He brings her home as a wife, but the mother in law despises n’ek and they encounter many obstacles.

Right now, p’Off is looking at Bella and Alek as pra’nang!! The storyline sounds intense! I can really see Bella in it!

Ooh does this mean Ch3 is ready to fully promote Alek? They haven't been in the past but getting to work with P'Off is a good sign.

As for this novel, I think I remember reading that it was the prequel to Soot Kaen San Ruk right? So the evil mother-in-law this time is Yoi, the older sister of Yaem in Soot Kaen. And there are 3 other daughter-in-laws that are bad to some degree too.

I know P'Ratklao played Yaem already but I'd want her for Yoi too. She's just so good.

Hm the article didn’t mention anything about prequel so I doubt it’s related.

I’m actually happy Act Art picked out a new storyline, a fresh script and NOT a remake! Plus, I’ve noticed that Act Art revolves their storyline mostly based on the female narrative, eg Thong Neau Gao, Nakee, Raknakara, now this! The production is almost pro n’ek/women!!

Plus Off is directing this, which is going to be amazing!!! This will be Alek’s second Lakorn with Act Art but his first one with nycha is directed by p’Au. It’s better when Off is the director!!

Gosh, I was just telling my non-lakorn watching girlfriends that Pretty Woman can be made into a lakorn - lol. I like Bella and I taking a liking to Alex ( from the Love is in the air concert). I know, not much to go off on watching him in that concert but he was so funny and cute. I like him in the lakorn w/ the endless title starring with Great/Matt.

I LOVE Pretty Woman! It’s one of the BEST movies I’ve even seen, ever been produced! I would totally buy it if it does get turned into a Lakorn. Oh man— the piano love scene, the bedroom, etc the bathtub:pancarta: In fact, I love the movie so much I bought the 20th anniversary edition in Blue Ray! Quite an obsession there!! :p It was just a beautifully made movie!!!:icon12:

I’m not against prostitution movies or n’ek, as long as the contents are age appropriate and the moral of the story gets sent across to the audience in a proper way.

!!
Not this article but past articles with no pra nangs attached yet. P'Off has been prepping for KK for awhile now. I think it was announced before Lai Kinnaree. That one had a summary that focused more on the mother-in-law as the prequel to Soot Kaen but it did mention n'ek was an escort.

I would love it if it was a romcom like Pretty Woman but it sounds like straight up drama which seems to be more P'Off's style.

Hmm, this sounds rather interesting. I never really imagined Alex and Bella as a pair, but I like them both enough so if they get cast in this I'd give it a shot.

Yea this sounds like pretty women. I’m glad Bella gets to work with many different productions. I think what’s left is broadcast n and Anne’s production. This will be a challenging role for her

I hope alek isn’t the praek I want an older actor.

Yay Alek! I am glad the elders are promoting him more as lead! I am not a fan of Bella but I might tune in just because Alek interest me lately! Lol :p

Interesting and odd paring! I like them both, but never picture them together. This sounds like a typical mother and daughter in law storyline for lakorn.

The book is available online. The author is previewing it ahead of the official release. So I read a short random chapter and the reviews and now really looking forward to it. I'd love for P'Daeng herself to play Yoi.

Like the author's other stories, this is really an ensemble story with a big cast of significant characters . But the focus is on Yoi (mother in law and Yaem's sister) and n'ek is Reynu.

Yoi isn't as bad as Yaem in Soot Kaen. In fact, the chapter I read she and Reynu are starting to get along and I think it's somewhere in the middle of the story.

Reynu is not the typical prostitute n'ek. She does some bad things but it's not coming from a place of having evil intentions. It's just really about survival for her. Like she does some black magic love potion on p'ek lol. Is this a 1st that it's "n'ek" pulling that move and not n'rai lol?

But she also gets punished for her sins pretty quickly. The part I was reading is after she gets revealed as having put a love spell on p'ek and the scene is surprisingly funny with Yoi.

She's also not that dark depressing of a character that likes to play victim. Some dark bad things do happen to her but she's still scrappy and keeps her fighting spirit. Book fans say she's a likeable character you want to root for.

Never got the bella appeal. Someone like Ann T or a Noon, Aum etc... in her prime would have killed. I don't see anyone from the new gen in ch3 selling it for me. A Janie would have been good but too much plastic and overacting.

Thanks for sharing! After reading the "evil mother-in-law" detail, my first instinct was to turn this one away. But I'm glad the storyline allows time and space for the female characters to develop and not be so one-dimensional.
