Chapter Fifteen
--FLASHBACK--
When everyone arrived back in Bangkok, everything started changing. On the first day back, Siwon's music company calls him back on an emergency mandatory concert. 3 days later, Aum goes back home. To her surprise, her dad had found out about everything. He was enraged that Aum did not believe him about the bankruptcy anymore and hated Aum because she was going to marry Ken. When she comes home the next day, her mom tell her the bad news: Aum's dad passed away the night earlier of a heart attack. Feeling burdened with the fact that she "killed her father", Aum decides to move to the US without telling anyone. When Ken comes to visit Aum the next day, he finds out from Aum's mom that Aum had already left. So then he felt like there was nothing to live for anymore and worked all day and night. As for Pinky, 2 months later, she received a letter from Yale, accepting her to the university. Not wanting to leave Nichkhun behind, she tells him that she is not going. But when her parents found out, they were very mad at Nichkhun, saying that he was the reason that Pinky did not go. When Pinky sees this, she decides to go study abroad so that her parents would stop being mad at Nichkhun.. The next morning, she left without telling anyone but Pancake, fearing that Nichkhun would stop her from going. Nichkhun, feeling guilty, went to help out at his Aunt's and Uncle's office, trying to forget Pinky in the process. Pancake on the other hand, continued her model work and rose to fame. However, she couldn't stop thinking of Siwon.
--SIWON AT HIS HOUSE, KOREA--
Seulgi: Simba, why aren't you happy?
Siwon: [sighs] It's nothing, Seulgi. You wouldn't understand.
Seulgi: [confused] Are you mad at me?
Siwon: [smiles] Of course not.
Seulgi: Miss someone?
Siwon: Something like that.
Seulgi: Why don't go you to her?
Siwon: I'm afraid.
Seulgi: [raises an eyebrow] Afraid of what?
Siwon: Afraid of being unable to come back.
Seulgi: Will the person send you to jail or something?

--AUM AT LEILA'S APARTMENT, NEW YORK--
Leila: You sure you can live here?
Aum: [smiles weakly] Of course I can live here.
Leila: You shouldn't feel as if it's your fault, Aum...
Aum: But it is my fault! [sobbing]
Leila: [hugs Aum] It's alright, Aum. You know you have me. [smiles] And your baby.
Aum: I guess you're right, but when I see the baby he or she will remind me of Ken.
Leila: Then go back to him, Aum.
Aum: [sighs] I need some time. I really do.
Leila: Stay here all you like, then when you want to go back, go.
Aum: I don't have any work to do around here.
Leila: I'm sure I can get you a job at my place, but will you-
Aum: I'll be fine with whatever I get. Besides, it's weird not working.
Leila: The only problem is that the contract is 3 years.
Aum: I can wait. Probably by the end of 3 years, I'll be ready.
Leila: Ok then, I'll go call my boss.

--KEN AT WONGPUAPAN OFFICE, BANGKOK--

Chapter Sixteen
Aum: [sighs] I'm at the airport, Auntie.
Aum's aunt: Aum, will you do me a favor?
Aum: Sure ka. What?
Aum's aunt: I want you to go see Ken. I heard from Khun that he's been sad ever since you left 3 years ago.
Aum: [hesitates] How about Emma?
Aum's aunt: If you don't want him to see your baby, come to my house first, ok?
Aum: Ka, I will. [pauses] Bye, Auntie. I'll be there in 30 minutes.
30 minutes later and Aum drops off her daughter at her aunt's house, then hurries to the Wongpuapan Office building. On the way, she bumps into Nichkhun.
Nichkhun: [surprised] P'Aum!
Aum: Khun! [hesitantly] Is Ken still in his room?
Nichkhun: [nods] He barely ever comes home. [looks around] How about-
Aum: Emma's with her aunt.
Nichkhun: [raises an eyebrow] Emma...my niece?
Aum: [nods] Yep.
Nichkhun: [smiles nervously] Can I go see her?
Aum: After Ken and I talk.
Nichkhun: Oh, alright.
Aum goes up the elevator and reaches Ken's room. She knocks on the door.
Ken: [opens door] Aum-
Aum: [looks up nervously] Ken-
Ken: [gives her a cold glare] Get out of my office, now!
Aum: Ken, wait-
Ken: You leave me for 3 years and now you want to come back in my life? Isn't that a bit too easy.
Aum: Ken, listen to me! I was sad, I was furious at myself, not you! [tears in her eyes] It was my fault my dad died.
Ken: Your fault that your dad died? Whoever told you such a thing?

Ken: Your aunt? [eyes wide] Your aunt! The one who forged money from our company...she said that your dad died?

Ken: No time to explain. Tell Sak to get the car ready - now.

Ken: And stay here with Aum, ok?
Nichkhun nodded and then quickly dialed Sak's number, telling him to get the car out. Ken left the room, leaving Aum and Nichkhun. Just at that moment, Nichkhun's phone rings. It was Pinky.
Nichkhun: Ky?
Pinky: Ka, it's me P'Khun.
Nichkhun: Where are you?
Pinky: At the airport ka. Can you come pick me up?
Nichkhun: [sighs] I, umm.
Pinky: What do you mean "umm"?
Nichkhun: Ky, Aum came to see P'Ken. And now she's fainted, so P'Ken told me to look after her.
Pinky: [bitterly] I understand. Bye ka. [ends phone call]
Aum: Khun, go get Ky. I'll be, I'll be fine.
Nichkhun: [hesitates] But-
Aum: I'll be fine, ok? Just go.

Pinky decides to call Pancake but to her surprise, Pancake's phone was turned off. She waited for a taxi but all of them were full. Suddenly, someone honks their car horn. Pinky turns, annoyed.
Nichkhun: [rolls down the window] Ky, get in the car.
Pinky: [surprised] P'Khun!
Nichkhun unlocks the car doors and Pinky gets on.
Pinky: Thanks.
Nichkhun: Where to?
Pinky: Can we go see P'Aum?
Nichkhun: Sure.
Their eyes meet. Pinky blushes.
Pinky: P'KHUN-
Nichkhun: [smirks] We'll talk about marriage arrangements later.
Pinky: [brightens up] So you're not mad at me for leaving?

Some time later, they arrive back at the office.
--AUM'S AUNT'S HOUSE--
Ken: [banging on door] Open up!
Aum's aunt: Who the hell- [opens door] KEN-
Ken: You're damn right it's me. [barges in] Where's Emma?
Aum's aunt: Where she belongs, with her step grandpa.
Ken: [furious] What do you mean step grandpa?
Aum's aunt: [smirks] Just that. [laughs] Besides, I'm not Aum's aunt.

Aum's aunt: I'm her step aunt, that's what.
Ken: You mean-
Aum's aunt: Yes, I do mean that Aum's real dad frigging died a long time ago. He died and then her mother married Kong.

Aum's aunt: It was the only way. [roll eyes] But then she was stupid enough to believe YOU. So then we needed another plan-

Aum's aunt: So? Does that mean you're willing to sacrifice your daughter's life?

At that moment, Nichkhun, Aum, and Pinky arrive on the scene. They got out of the car.
Aum: [tears in her eyes] Auntie, please give Emma back to me...
Ken: She's not your aunt, Aum. And your dad's not your dad either.
Aum: [shocked] What do you mean?
Aum's aunt: What he means is that you're an idiot, Aum. An idiot.
Aum: [crying] Give Emma back to me!
Aum's aunt: You actually thought that we were actually your aunt and dad, huh? Your mom married your step dad when your real dad died.

Nichkhun: Easy. I tricked your brother into coming after me.
Pinky: [smirks] And then I took the baby. Who's the idiot now?
Aum: [runs to Pinky] Thanks, Ky.
Pinky: Anything for my sister-in-law. [hands Emma to Aum]
Ken runs to Aum and hugs Emma.
Aum's aunt: Come back here Aum!

30 minutes later and Aum drops off her daughter at her aunt's house, then hurries to the Wongpuapan Office building. On the way, she bumps into Nichkhun.

Aum: Khun! [hesitantly] Is Ken still in his room?
Nichkhun: [nods] He barely ever comes home. [looks around] How about-
Aum: Emma's with her aunt.
Nichkhun: [raises an eyebrow] Emma...my niece?
Aum: [nods] Yep.
Nichkhun: [smiles nervously] Can I go see her?
Aum: After Ken and I talk.
Nichkhun: Oh, alright.
Aum goes up the elevator and reaches Ken's room. She knocks on the door.
Ken: [opens door] Aum-
Aum: [looks up nervously] Ken-
Ken: [gives her a cold glare] Get out of my office, now!
Aum: Ken, wait-
Ken: You leave me for 3 years and now you want to come back in my life? Isn't that a bit too easy.
Aum: Ken, listen to me! I was sad, I was furious at myself, not you! [tears in her eyes] It was my fault my dad died.
Ken: Your fault that your dad died? Whoever told you such a thing?
Aum: [raises an eyebrow] My aunt.
Ken: Your aunt? [eyes wide] Your aunt! The one who forged money from our company...she said that your dad died?
Aum: [nods]
Ken: Khun saw your dad the other day, Aum!
Aum: [shocked] You mean my dad's alive?
Ken: [nods] And well, too.
Aum: [shaking] Emma-
Ken: [raises an eyebrow] Emma?
Aum: Ou, our- our daughter. [faints]
Ken: Aum! Aum! [to himself] That bitch!
Nichkhun comes into the room.
Ken: Khun, where's Sak?
Nichkhun: [sees Aum] What happened?
Ken: No time to explain. Tell Sak to get the car ready - now.
Nichkhun: Krub, krub.
Ken: And stay here with Aum, ok?
Nichkhun nodded and then quickly dialed Sak's number, telling him to get the car out. Ken left the room, leaving Aum and Nichkhun. Just at that moment, Nichkhun's phone rings. It was Pinky.
Nichkhun: Ky?
Pinky: Ka, it's me P'Khun.
Nichkhun: Where are you?
Pinky: At the airport ka. Can you come pick me up?
Nichkhun: [sighs] I, umm.
Pinky: What do you mean "umm"?
Nichkhun: Ky, Aum came to see P'Ken. And now she's fainted, so P'Ken told me to look after her.
Pinky: [bitterly] I understand. Bye ka. [ends phone call]
Aum: Khun, go get Ky. I'll be, I'll be fine.
Nichkhun: [hesitates] But-
Aum: I'll be fine, ok? Just go.

Pinky decides to call Pancake but to her surprise, Pancake's phone was turned off. She waited for a taxi but all of them were full. Suddenly, someone honks their car horn. Pinky turns, annoyed.
Nichkhun: [rolls down the window] Ky, get in the car.
Pinky: [surprised] P'Khun!
Nichkhun unlocks the car doors and Pinky gets on.
Pinky: Thanks.
Nichkhun: Where to?
Pinky: Can we go see P'Aum?
Nichkhun: Sure.
Their eyes meet. Pinky blushes.
Pinky: P'KHUN-
Nichkhun: [smirks] We'll talk about marriage arrangements later.
Pinky: [brightens up] So you're not mad at me for leaving?
Nichkhun: I understand why you had to go, Ky.
Some time later, they arrive back at the office.
--AUM'S AUNT'S HOUSE--
Ken: [banging on door] Open up!
Aum's aunt: Who the hell- [opens door] KEN-
Ken: You're damn right it's me. [barges in] Where's Emma?
Aum's aunt: Where she belongs, with her step grandpa.
Ken: [furious] What do you mean step grandpa?
Aum's aunt: [smirks] Just that. [laughs] Besides, I'm not Aum's aunt.
Ken: [raises an eyebrow] What do you mean?
Aum's aunt: I'm her step aunt, that's what.
Ken: You mean-
Aum's aunt: Yes, I do mean that Aum's real dad frigging died a long time ago. He died and then her mother married Kong.
Ken: [shocked] You lied to her?
Aum's aunt: [smirks] Only so that she would do anything we said. I mean, heart attack? Oh please.
Ken: You bitch! You told her we were going bankrupt!
Aum's aunt: It was the only way. [roll eyes] But then she was stupid enough to believe YOU. So then we needed another plan-
Ken: So you lied that her dad was dead so that she would move away?
Aum's aunt: [nods] Yeah. I was the one who told her to go somewhere else.
Ken: Well, now she's back.
Aum's aunt: So? Does that mean you're willing to sacrifice your daughter's life?
Ken: [furious] Don't you dare-
Aum's aunt: Oh I dare alright. One phone call and you'll be saying goodbye to your daughter!
At that moment, Nichkhun, Aum, and Pinky arrive on the scene. They got out of the car.
Aum: [tears in her eyes] Auntie, please give Emma back to me...
Ken: She's not your aunt, Aum. And your dad's not your dad either.
Aum: [shocked] What do you mean?
Aum's aunt: What he means is that you're an idiot, Aum. An idiot.
Aum: [crying] Give Emma back to me!
Aum's aunt: You actually thought that we were actually your aunt and dad, huh? Your mom married your step dad when your real dad died.
Aum: WHAT-
Aum's aunt: [smirks] It's all your fault, Aum. If you would just believe me that Ken was going bankrupt none of this would've happened.
Aum: What do you want?
Aum's aunt: For you to marry Chance, that's what.
Aum: NO!
Aum's aunt: Your daughter's life is in my hands now.
Ken: Aum...
Aum: Ken, I- I love you!
Ken: [tears in his eyes] I love you too, Aum. And I promise to get Emma back.
Aum's aunt: How could you, huh?
Pinky comes out from the backdoor of the estate with Emma in her arms. She smirks.
Nichkhun: Ky, you're back!
Pinky: This is how, you old witch lady!
Aum's aunt: How did you manage-
Nichkhun: Easy. I tricked your brother into coming after me.
Pinky: [smirks] And then I took the baby. Who's the idiot now?
Aum: [runs to Pinky] Thanks, Ky.
Pinky: Anything for my sister-in-law. [hands Emma to Aum]
Ken runs to Aum and hugs Emma.
Aum's aunt: Come back here Aum!
Aum: NO!
Aum's aunt: I'm your aunt! I said come back here.
Nichkhun: [smirks] Since when were you her aunt? You just said-
Aum's aunt: [turns to Aum] Your step dad made me, Aum!
Aum: [roll eyes] Oh please, stop it! [turns to Nichkhun] Khun, go start the car.
Nichkhun: [smiles] Krub.

Just at that moment, Siwon comes.

Pancake grabs Pinky and Nichkhun's arms, draggin them the other direction.
