I might post there too for fun. But I'll wait until I'm a little farther into the story so I can be sure I'll actually finish. I have a habit of starting things and not finishing them :risas3:

Maybe I'll just stop after this last part... it's really very time-consuming to write all this, you know...
No, you can’t stop! Hahah, jk. Where is the first chapter?

RACHFULL'S DATE-KAEW FANFIC PART IV

Better things to come... but gotta set everything up in this part

Part IV

Back in his old room, Date paced back and forth. So now Kade was mad at him. Great. But that was hardly a problem, he’d go apologize and plead with her later. She never stayed angry for long. The more pressing matter was this Nathawat character.

There was no way he would allow that child to approach his daughter, the only daughter he’d had for nine years until Prang was born. That was out of the question.

But what if the boy tried to meet Prang in secret? He couldn’t allow that either. That’d be even worse than them courting in front of him. How could he prevent his Kaew from being tainted by that boy? She was only sixteen. She didn’t understand the desires of dishonorable young men, nor did she understand the tactics they used to get what they wanted. Date had been a young man once; he knew all too well what young men wanted and how they got it.

Maybe he could lock her in her room? No, that would be too drastic. And he could never follow through with such a punishment; he’d give in within a few days.

He could send her away for school? Hmmm. The idea had merit, but the problem laid in exactly where he could send Kaew. He didn’t want her to live far away from her friends and family. Or to live far away from him.

He made his decision. Date would simply have to strongly discourage Kaew from dating for the next few years, that was all.

Besides, things weren’t the same as when he and Kade were young. Kade was considered old by the time they married, and she was only a few years past twenty. Women these days were choosing to wait until they were closer to that age to marry. It wouldn’t completely demolish Kaew’s future prospects if she held off courting for a few more years. She would have plenty of time to date and marry after that Nathawat was out of the picture.

Yes, it would have to do. He would tell Kaew tomorrow, then after that issue was resolved, he would go plead with Kade. Maybe afterwards, he’d be able to catch up on the sleep he most certainly wouldn’t be getting tonight.
No, you can’t stop! Hahah, jk. Where is the first chapter?
Above is part 4, but it has all the previous parts quoted on the post itself

YAYYYYYY I STARTED IT!!!!! A few notes:
  1. I'll post updates to the fanfic under spoilers with the title "Date-Kaew Fanfic" until I come up with a better name. That way I don't spam the thread if people don't want to read it. EDIT: Fine I'll leave it out
  2. This is only the first installment, there are more to come. How many more, I don't know. When it comes to writing, I have a reeaaalllyy hard time holding back :risas3:
  3. I even added some fan service in this first installment for all of you!!!! I HATE writing fan service, so you're welcome! I only threw up three times while I was writing it :fighting3: I don't like writing romance I always feel unqualified
  4. Oh and I'm not totally confident on my "P's" and "jao ka"s so lmk if I make a big mistake or just ignore the mistakes
  5. Also this isn't my best writing so bear with me
Okay, without further ado, here is the first installment of the Date-Kaew fanfic :aaaaa::aaaaa::aaaaa::
Date-Kaew Fanfic Vol. 1
“Khun P’!”

Something was jabbing into Date’s back, something that felt like the beak of a bird, or a pencil, or…

Date rolled over so quickly he almost toppled off the bed. But he had achieved his object: Kade’s finger was no longer disturbing his sleep. In fact, his arms were constricting her every attempt to continue disturbing his sleep.

“Khun P’!”

“Mmmm,” Date mumbled.

“Khun P, it’s time to get up.”

Date nestled deeper into his pillow, tightening his grip on Kade.

Kade giggled. Then she clapped a hand over her mouth. She forced her face into a stern look. “Khun P, you’re supposed to meet with Khun Chantawat in a few hours. Get up!” She pushed against his chest again.

A light knock rapped on the bedroom door. “Khun Mae, Khun Pa jao ka!”

Date and Kade jumped apart, diving off the bed for “Khun Pa’s” shirt. :naughty2:

“What is it, loo?” Kade shouted as Date hurriedly pulled his arms through the shirt sleeves. In a minute, he had the shirt on and the waistband tied, and not a moment too soon: little Prang swung the door open and toddled into the room. She tugged on Kade’s skirt, and began, “Khun Mae jao ka--”

But before Prang could finish, Pin and Yam came hurrying into the room, chests heaving. “Katot jao ka, Khun Ying,” Yam panted, “We were dressing Prang’s hair when she ran away. We tried to catch her--"
"--but she’s really fast,” Pin finished.

“It’s alright, P’Pin, P’Yam,” Kade said. She crouched to Prang’s level. “Did you need something, loo?”

“Khun Mae jao ka, I wanted you to dress my hair today,” Prang explained, gazing up at Kade and sticking out her bottom lip ever so slightly.

Date, who had stood with crossed arms and watched the spectacle unfold, launched into action. “Prang,” he began, raising his index finger. “You should not run away from Pin and Yam. Apologize to them.”

Kade stood up and sent him an exasperated look as Prang clung to her skirts. Date simply stared back, raised his eyebrows, then lowered his gaze back to Prang.

“Now.”

Prang peeked up at her father through her eyelashes, saw the stern look on his face, and spun around to face Pin and Yam.

“Katot.” She turned back to Date. He glanced around the room, purposefully looking everywhere but at Prang. Kade bent down and whispered in Prang’s ear.

“Katot, Khun Pa jao ka.” Prang aligned her hands and bowed once again. Kade smiled knowingly at Date. Date continued to look around the room, but this time his lips twitched infinitesimally upward.

“Come, loo, I’ll dress your hair for you,” Kade said, directing Prang out of the room by her tiny shoulders.

Date, unable to hold back his amusement any longer, allowed a wide grin to spill across his face.
YAYYYYY Part 2 of the Date-Kaew fanfic!!!! Yes, I am accepting name submissions because I have no idea what to call it :fighting3: This is my favorite part so far, and I've completed up to part 5 already! (I actually wrote it all in one go when I posted part one... but I didn't want to post more parts too soon or else I'd have to write more :pancarta:) Anyway, enjoy!!!
Can I just say I love writing from Date's point of view because he tries so hard to conceal his emotions but he always ends up inadvertently revealing them :risas3:

DATE-KAEW FANFIC PART II

Later that day, Date was reading one of his political texts at his desk when a servant escorted two men into the house. Intrigued, Date marked his place in his book and rose from his chair. He crept over to a pillar to watch the men from afar as Kade greeted them. He felt the vaguest twinge of jealousy, then silenced it, reminding himself that he and Kade had been married for almost twenty years now, and had four children together. There was no need for him to feel jealous over her greeting other men. He could just calmly return to his desk and continue reading his book without a care in the world.

Next thing Date knew, he was standing in the common area of the house, staring down the two intruders.

“Ah, he’s here,” Kade said, rising from her seat. The two men did likewise. “Khun P jao ka, this is Khun Chantawat and his son, Khun Natawat.” She pointed at each man respectively.

Date breathed a sigh of relief. Good, a married man with his son. No need to be concerned at all.

Unless Kade wanted a younger man now that her husband was old. Date’s brow furrowed.

As Date tried to ascertain how far a young man could charm his Karakade in the ten minutes the two had spent together, the older man spoke: “You remember, Ork Ya, that we had an appointment today?”

Date nodded, still calculating. Chantawat’s question hung in the air for a few minutes. Then something clicked in his brain, and Date woke up. “Yes. Please, sit down.” He gestured at the seat in front of him.

Chantawat and his son sat once again. Date lowered himself onto the couch opposite, training his gaze on them. “Now, what business did you have to discuss with me? You said it was important.”

“Ah, yes,” Chantawat responded, easing forward in his seat. He glanced at his son.

Date briefly shifted his gaze to the son as well. Did Kade like tall noses?

“My son here, Natawat-- well, he’s had his eye on your daughter Kaew,” Chantawat responded, resting a hand on Natawat’s shoulder.

Date froze.

“And he asked me to come meet with you to ask your permission to court Kaew.”

Date’s body sat rigid while his mind raced at a pace so swift, even his thoughts were blurred. His brain halted for a second.

“Permission for you to date my oldest daughter, Chantawat?”

“No, no,” the older man chuckled, “Permission for Nathawat to date your daughter.”

Date’s face fell, all color draining from it.

And I've even quoted the previous parts above so you guys can reference them if you need to. You're welcome.

Hee hee hee I enjoyed writing this part :naughty2: Although I think it's actually kinda short, but whatever

Are you happy @Rosi ???

Part III
“Khun P!” Karakade whimpered from her place by the front steps. “Why did you usher Khun Chantawat and Khun Nathawat out so soon? They were only here for less than five Baht. Isn’t that rude in this era?” Kade glanced out the door again, to where the men’s boat had just set sail.

Date spun on the ball of his foot, and stalked away from the door.

Kade followed him. “Khun P! Why are you so angry? Did they do something that upset you?”

Date ignored her.

“Khun P!” Kade grabbed Date’s arm and pulled in front of him, stopping him in his tracks.

“Out of my way, Khun Ying Karakade!” Date’s eyes narrowed as his voice crescendoed into a near-shout.

“Mai! I won’t move until you tell me what’s wrong!” Kade spread her feet apart, raising her fists.

Date flashed his eyes down at Kade’s balled fists. At any other time, he would’ve found her funny. But not now. “You really won’t move?”

Kade simply adjusted her stance into a more stable position.

He took that as a no.

Grabbing Kade by the shoulders, he shunted her to the left of his path. As she stumbled in the direction his hands persuaded her in, she tripped on a nearby ledge, lost her balance, and fell onto the hardwood floor. Date glanced down at his wife, and walked away.

That night, Date abandoned his place of refuge in his office and headed toward his and Kade’s room. However, as soon as he reached the door, he couldn’t open it. Something seemed to be blocking the door. He knocked. “Karakade! Open the door! It’s me!”

No response.

He knocked again. “Kade? It’s me, Date.”

Still no response.

He pounded. “Khun Ying Karakade! Open this door right now!!”

A piece of paper slid into Date’s foot from underneath the door. He picked it up and unfolded it.

“Ork Ya Visut Sakorn--

I would rather sleep with a snake than with you.

Regards,

Khun Ying Karakade, Head of Household”

Date read the note again. And again. One more time.

What had he done to garner such treatment from his wife? They’d gotten along perfectly well that morning and even better the previous night. She’d even kissed his cheek right in front of their children before lunch. And then he’d gotten that visit from those two… creatures, and…

Oh.

Date backtracked, making his dejected way to his old room for the night.

ANNOUNCING... part FIVE of the Date-Kaew fanfic!

See, I told you guys I'd get it out today! And I left you all a super juicy cliffhanger too... :risas3: Enjoy!

PART V

The next morning, Date sat in his office and tried to read, but the words seemed to slide off the page the more he stared at it. He rubbed his eyes. He tried again. The words slid into a little black pool at the bottom of the page.

Date sighed, closing the book and setting it on the table. This was unacceptable; he had to make out--er-- up (;) @Rosi ) with Kade soon, or else he wouldn’t be able to sleep at all. He stood up.

Just as Date was leaving his office, however, Kaew walked into the room. Date stopped in his tracks, memories of the previous day flashing through his head. Taking a deep breath, he spoke: “What is it, Kaew?”

“Khun Pa jao ka,” Kaew said in her sweet, quiet manner, “You promised us that you would take us to the market today. Have you forgotten?”

Truth be told, Date had completely forgotten about his promise, what with Chantawat and Nathawat and Kade refusing to so much as look at him. But Kaew needn’t know that. “Of course I haven’t forgotten, Kaew. Go tell your mother and siblings to wait at the pier and that I’ll be out in a minute.”

“Khun Pa jao ka, I already spoke to Khun Mae, and she said she wasn’t feeling well today and wouldn’t be coming.”

“Oh?” Date raised an eyebrow. Classic Kade, cold-shouldering him until he apologized. “Then go tell your siblings. I’ll check on your mother.”

Kaew nodded, and left.

Date sighed again. His wife really was so childish sometimes. Leaving his office, Date resolutely headed towards his and Kade’s room.

Upon reaching the room, Date knocked. “Kade! It’s me!” No response. He’d expected as much.

Date knocked once again. “Kade! Open the door! We need to talk.” Still nothing. Looked like he’d have to pull out the heavy artillery.

“Pin! Yam!” Date called. Pin and Yam came scurrying into the hallway. They kneeled and said in unison, “Jao ka, Ork Ya?”

“Go to the pier and tell the children I won’t be taking them to the market today after all, since their mother is feeling so ill.” Date spoke louder than was strictly necessary.

Pin and Yam glanced at each other. “Sorry, what did you say, Ork Ya?”

“I’m not taking the children to the market today like I promised, I’m going to stay here and ensure Khun Ying Karakade is attended to,” he responded, even more loudly.

“Jao ka,” Pin and Yam bowed and shuffled away.

Sure enough, Date heard the scraping of wood on wood, and the rattle of the door opening. Karakade stood at the entrance to the room. Date smiled in spite of himself. Then he quickly regained his composure.

He stepped into the room, swinging the doors shut behind him.

You know, sometimes even I'M surprised at how nice I am to you guys. I could have just lied and told y'all I'm going on vacation with the samee and wouldn't be able to post part six for a week:confused12:... but I'm SO NICE and NOT RAI that I decided to post it today out of the GOODNESS of my heart.
Hope it doesn't disappoint. It was very hard for me to write, and I'm not sure I got Date completely in-character. But whatever, I doubt anyone cares at this point :risas3: Here's part 6!

P.S. I love the ending of this part :naughty2:

PART VI

Date took a step closer to Kade. She frowned, folding her arms and glaring up at him with her nose in the air. Date half-expected her to stamp her foot. Smirking just the tiniest bit, he took another step toward her.

Kade stepped back. “I opened the door like you wanted. Now go take the children to the market.”

“No.” Another step.

“No?” Kade’s brows entwined in concern.

“No.” He was towering over her now, with only a few inches of space between them.

Kade’s face cleared. “Khun P!” she whined. “How can you do that? You know they’ve been looking forward to it for a week now! Prang hasn’t stopped talking about it for the past three days! And now you won’t take them just because I kicked you out last night?”

Date nodded once. He continued to approach Kade ever so slowly, coercing her in the direction he wanted her to go in.

“Khun P!” Kade tripped over a ledge and fell onto the bed.

Date fell with her.

“Khun P!” Kade stared up at him with wide eyes, her body tensing underneath him.

Date chuckled, and got off of her to sit next to her on the edge of the bed. Kade sat up and quickly shifted away from him. Date shifted closer to her.

“Kade…” he began, but Kade cut him off.

“Chan mai fang! I won’t listen! You pushed me down and left me on the ground! That may be acceptable behavior for a husband in Ayutthaya, but where I come from, it’s downright heartless!” She folded her arms again and turned away from him.

“Khun Ying Karakade, stop behaving like a child and listen to me!” Date grabbed Kade firmly but gently by the shoulders, and turned her to face him.

She tried to break free of his grip. Struggling, she said, “Bloy chan! Let me go! I’m angry at you for being raeng!” When her attempts to break free of his grip were unsuccessful, Kade huffed and looked away from Date.

“Kade, fang chan. I didn’t push you, you tripped and fell--”

Her head zipped back to face him. “But you didn’t even--”

“I know, I didn’t help you up. I was angry and in a bad state of mind. I needed to be alone. All the same, I’m very sorry I didn’t help you up, Khun Ying Karakade.”

Kade briefly glanced in his direction, her head still turned away from him. “Khun poot arai? What did you say? I didn’t hear.”

Date smirked. He drew close to Kade’s ear, so close his nose was a hair’s breadth away from touching the appendage. “Chan katot maak, Mae Kadesurang.”

Kade turned her head, her face so close to Date’s their noses collided. But when Kade tried to move back, Date wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her against his chest. At first Kade tensed again, apparently debating whether she should push him away or not. Date tightened his grip on her waist. She finally relaxed against his chest, smiling to herself.

They sat there for a while, quietly listening to the cicadas chirping.

It was Date who broke the silence.

“Kade?”

“Hmm?” Kade changed position, resting her chin on Date’s chest so she could peer up at him.

“Let’s take the children to the market later. There’s a boat I want to surf before we take the other one on the water.”

And Date kissed Kade like the French.

Hahahaa okay now you can go to your alleged vacation with the alleged samee for a week and we won't mind. But please come back and tell us what's with store with that Nathawat boy. Is Date going to let loose the 3 Musketeers on him & his dad on a dark and moonless night?

p.s. I also love the ending of this part :naughty2:

Thanks @Rachfull you're so sweet!!

I'm surprised nobody shipped Ram & Kratin. I think they would look great together in real life. His maturity suits her & she's a lot prettier & softer than Mae Malee (if Pope really likes the Susie type of looks).

I would like to rebuff that! See how beautiful his hand is holding on to Kratin's.
Yours is holding a chair. When you hold a chair your reaction is different from holding to the one you love.

His hand's awkward in that pic too :risas3: See how it's weirdly squished in Diana's hand?

The samee does have beautiful hands, but they're still awkward

There are Pope/Diana shippers, but not many, as far as I can tell. Most people are off-put by the 12-year age gap between them
Oh? He's 12 years older? I didn't know that. But does it matter? Age is just a number & it's not like he's 24 years older & could be her father. I don't care, I think they look lovely together. All these fans, some of them what do they know really. All I know is Aum's wife is 6 years older & man, don't she look old. But no one says anything.... I hope Pope marries Diana if he isn't samee already to you & phatman & @neenavaj , Rachfull.

Yep..i'll try my best to get close to the stage and take some photos. It will be embarrassing for me since it will be broadcast live on TV too:p
We'll be rooting for you on behalf of the BPS gang, and also we know how much you've admired Prang and this is so far the closest opportunity for you to see her. You don't often get to Cambodia do you, so this is so lucky you're there right now. Good luck!!

@phatman , where are you today? I dread tomorrow because there's no BPS and the Cape Town story is no good. Can we wake up to more of your cheery Phatcaps please. Boy, how I missed those extended/deleted scenes!!

I'm watching LRT trying not to hurt so much with Kratin, and maybe start Padiwarada tomorrow.
