ideas for losing weight?

i guess the real question is how to stay motivated...i mean great tips and i agree, lots of experts say this...but how do Hmong people who eat white rice (our main source of carbs) stay motivated, how to stear clear of that and do exercise...anybody got motivation tips? tracking progress, food diaries, rewarding yourself...do Hmong people actually do that? just wondering...
