Funeral Experience

:( I went to the funeral home last nite... When I got to the front door I had chills... Wow its been 9 years since I been to a funeral home. I dislike them VERY VERY much. Anywaise when I got there I went to seek out my aunt and uncle who came into town. I got there and without thinking I went to hug them. I turned around and there was my granny (not related) who past lying on the hospital bed dressed in hmong. She was so peaceful and lying there so beautifully... Then when I realized I was freaking out... She wasnt in her casket yet. For all long as I remember when I usually see the past person they alwaise been in the casket. I hugged my uncle and aunt and left the room. One hour came around I went back in and they were calling all relatives to help put the body into the casket. For it was time... I was interested yet so SCARED!!! As I watched for the first time in my life this process I was amazed and really interested. As soon as they got done with putting my grandma into the casket all the woman got up and started to cry. OMG!!! It was the freakiest cries ever man! I sat there for a good minute and left outside for a good 30 minutes. I could still here the cries and it just remained in my head. I was so shaken up my hand were shaking and uncontrolling. HOLY CRAP I was so SCARED MAN!!!
As the rest of the night my guy friend assure me the body wont get up and chased me around. :arrg: He got an ass kicking from me. He said that his granny was a good woman and yes he was a XOM CUAB. BUTTA damn... I was so scared and to top it off I slept alone in my apartment. I thought my aunt and uncle was gona stop by for the nite but nopers. They had to get up extra early... bleh! Butta that was my first experience seeing the BEGINNING BEGINNING EXPERIENT of the funeral process...

I am happy I was there for my guy friend. He knew well I was a chicken BUTT but he's alwaise been there for me so I WANTED to be there for him. I love him so... haha! I give him huggy huggy... keke! =P
  :p
Tho i wonder... I can NEVER NEVER :lmao: CRY! I cant ever cry at funeral homes... is it me or wat? Makes me feel bad that I cant cry... :(

Tell me about it.
i cant cry either (i cant even cry at my own my grandma and uncle's funeral). so i'm always the photographer. but yea, hmong cries for the dead are like the scariest. i only saw one dead person in my whole life, and thats my grandma. when i get to any funeral, i can never visit the person in his/her casket. i WILL have nightmares.

i can't cry on funerals too...i feel so sad when i see someone dead, especially if i know the person but i just can't cry...

okay, i have a scary (and maybe also funny) funeral story...the other day a good friend of mine died (may his soul rest in peace...) we were all very shocked 'cause it was so unexpected...so after a day when he died, we (my friends and i) visited him on his funeral...my other friends were scared to look at him, so 4 of us (all girls) came first to look...we were staring at him because we can't believe he was gone...okay, we were staring at him for couple of minutes when suddenly, a brownish somewhat thick liquid started dripping from his mouth!!! the 4 of us freaked out and we backed off the coffin and called the dead person's mom!! the mom said that's normal...but we really freaked out! :p

I've only been to one funeral, and for some reason.. I couldn't stop looking at my deceased uncle. It's so strange how, it's his funeral, but the only person that's not really there is him; just an empty body.

Other than that, I've visited old graveyards where some gravestones are from the 1700s.

I've seen 3 dead bodys...My grandma's, my dad, and this one guy who died at my skool. when my grandma died...it was very sad...and i cried really hard...It looked like she had a hard time. My family and I all sat around at the hospital with her. My uncle whom she loved the most moved away to north carolina. I guess my grandma didn't want to go until she saw my uncle...but sadly right after she spoke to him on the phone...she struggled for breath and died. I on the other hand was about 10...I ran out of her room and screamed for a doctor or someone to help. A nurse finally came running. They asked if we wanted to revise her...but my dad said no....because she was already old. My whole family was crying...a nurse came into the room and told us to be a little more quieter, because we were disturbing other patients...(I thought that was fucked up).

But yeah though im afraid of ghost...i have no problem with funerals...

Oh yeah i remember when my dad died..My brother was in jail...my mom is a freddy cat, and so it was just meeh and my sister...we bought cloths and was suppose to bring it to dress my dad at the funeral home...We all chickened out and so a worker there did it for us. (how sad huh...we his kids afraid of him)

My mom is really afraid of dead people...when my grandma died she did not attend the burial nor has she visited her grave...when my dad died...she did not go to the funeral home, his burial, nor has yet seen his grave. She didn't let us hang his picture up as well...I remember i hung it a few times...and each time she took it down. She said that it was too sad to look at it. My mom still sometimes sleeps with meeh because she is scared.

Wow, you guys really are scared. My uncle in law and his mom gets scared easily when it comes to this stuff, but they actually attended my grandpa's and grandma's funeral. I think they learned to cope with it because my uncle in law lives with my aunt at my grandparent's house.
