I hate to say this but I'm really disappointed in this lakorn. I loved all of Anne's previous work and Aew Ampaiporn is my favourite director but this lakorn became way too focused on the aesthetic aspect and less on plot and development. This lakorn is beautiful but of little substance. The pictures and behind the scenes were better and more interesting than the actual lakorn sadly.

Though not a remake of Manee Yard Fah, it's pretty much is Manee Yard Fah minus the comedy and romantic scenes. The island scenes were very dull and nothing memorable happened. If your pra'nang is stuck on an island, make good use of it and make it romantic or cute, not tedious. Alice is a boring character, she's supposed to be this headstrong and feminist character but she's so serious all the time and ridiculously stubborn in a way that isn't endearing. Dawin is pretty boring as well, we get it, you love your work, you love n'ek and you're heroic, but what else? You keep expecting something big for the leads but really nothing happens. Their marriage scenes were also not memorable and boring minus the food shopping scene which was ridiculously short. Alan and Paen were boring and had no chemistry and Jessie and her love interest were seriously underdeveloped.

None of the flaws are Nadech and Yaya's fault, they did their best with such a dull script. There just weren't good enough scenes, any scene that had the potential of being good was cut short, like the scene at the waterfall, the scene of them sleeping overnight hugging in the cabin, everything just felt thrown in and rushed. Even the ending was rushed. I agree with the consensus of the bad editing, the editing here is atrocious and the repeat of Alice's coronation was unnecessary, I felt like that scene shows up in every episode and it would have been more useful to have more of her and Dawin rather than that. Yaya said that the pra'nang's relationship is erotic but I didn't get the sense of that at all. There was barely any feeling of angst and tension either. I think Anne was too focused on making the lakorn big and beautiful that she failed to focus on an equally important aspect, quality in script and plot.

Because she is more emphasizing on Mark's lakorn so she won't bother about Nadech and Yaya

Oh wow so how much did you get the photobook for 60 dollars in total? Cuz I remember she was selling it for around 30 dollars sans shipping. Considering the original price was like 16 dollars. Even Ethaicd was selling it for 35 dollars.
Some people are really running businesses outta this huh
Yes I did pay $60 dollars total for the photo book.

Do you remember which service she used? Like was it DHL, Fedex, etc?

Her pricing is a lot better than ethaicd. Ethaicd are the snakes here. They run a buisness that does a lot of shipping so their shipping costs are low in general coz they probably have contracts with the shipping company they use so they can't say that their pricing is high coz of shipping. The boxsets roughly all weigh about the same and they've sold box sets before around $70-$80 so they're looking to make money off the buyers now maybe coz they saw how well LR and NY stuff sold recently when they were selling the photobook and other stuff. NYconfidential only marked it up to make $12 .. I don't know why she decided to low ball herself coz yeah she ripped everyone off for the photobook and t-shirt... how do you guys think ethaicd heard about the photobook lol But in Thailand her price is HIGH ... she apparently is even offering for a pick up hahahhaa no one in Thailand would buy from her.. but in THIS CASE you can't really negotiate the shipping. Her pricing for the dvd alone is good but shipping costs are out of her hands... I think she's a smaller store so she doesn't have that lower shipping fee contract.... just make sure she shows you the receipts for shipping and gives you a break down of these non-dvd costs. Shipping will always be expensive especially out of Thailand. Less than a lb for 3 days shipping is already $35 ... but I think she would go more of the middle ground route... so it's not too expensive. But there are other fees like tax fees too on top of the weight cost... that's why it's expensive.... You should ask her what her guestimate is of the shipping so you get a ball park too. Her pricing for dvd is good and you're just gonna have to accept that high shipping cost coz there's no way around it... I think the shipping alone is gonna be roughly $70 based on these breakdowns by dhl. I added the pricing for the tax and zone for u.s.a and it's like $73 on just the shipping side LOL MAN if only ethaicd were not snakes. I say, everyone should email ethaicd nyconfidential pricing... then maybe they can come down.. I would pay $100 and call it a day... coz I think both are far too much plus nyconfidential's process is annoying... and her email bizarreme? Sounds shady lol

This site is for dhl but it gives you a rough idea of where the totals are coming from.

I agree with everything you just said. For the photo book shipping was through air mail I think.

Shipping will most likely cost more than the actual dvd :confused0:

The cheapest is regular Thai mail and it's the cheapest but also LONGEST. The quote from this link basically says that her cheapest quote was 10x the standard at .5 kg at 104 bahts... RS dvd is about 1kg... and the photobook should be LESS than 1kg... so I don't know where she got $30 from... should def make sure to get some break downs coz transparency is important for business and even if you don't like the figures at least you know you're not getting ripped off. I know that are are taxes on the shipped box.. but she didn't have those details...

Is there a limited amount of DVD? I just checked Shopee's website and it's telling me that 678 have been sold and there are only 4253 products left? Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks. View attachment 24518
I was thinking the same thing.. but they did say that they are making it to order... I thought it did look like there's a limited amount but they also said that they'll produce enough for every order.

Thank you for your honest review; I vaguely remember you doing something similar a while after LLSR ended  Hopefully with the extra 9hrs & 36mins of scenes (that were actually meant to be present) in the DVD boxset, the editing will be better so nothing will be too rushed and we get to see scenes that didn't make the cut. When something that was meant to be 14-16 episodes (or something like that) gets cut short, there are going to be quite a few flaws :sad6:

I really agree on what you said about JC's relationship with Krating's character, I was like how tf can they just randomly get together at the end when for many episodes they were supposedly in different countries :fighting3: Some people liked Pan & Alan's story but for me they just ate up screen time that could have been given to Dalice lolol.

Forgot to share this yesterday:
upload_2018-9-9_15-1-2.png
The tweets says that at Na's Meet & Greet yesterday, he was asked what his spec (i.e. what he likes in a woman) is. He said that a spec isn't important, what is important is if they can get along/are compatible. If one meets someone they can get along with, they should study them & learn about them.

*queue flashback to the Shopee question game*
