The Realist guy here period
Recently, I installed a software that I should not have and it basically gave me a virus. Luckily, I am computer savvy and I had a hunch that something was up. The virus basically disabled (somehow went around my AV and firewall) AV and firewall. My Adware Professional was able to catch it but was not able to get rid of it.
I myself subscribe to a computer forum and the administrator gave me this: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to get rid of the virus. In addition, I have switched from Avast Professional to Eset NOD32 Professional.
He also told me to scan all of my downloaded files or files that I don't trust at this site: http://www.virustotal.com/
Review of NOD32

Darvil's suggestion: Sandbox
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
X32 System: NOD32 x32 Version
X64 System: NOD32 x64 Version
Anti-Virus Updater: NOD32 Updater works for both X32 & X64 System
