So Pitsanulok used to be called Song Kwae and it was the capital of Ayodhaya Kingdom before Ayuttaya. It used be a small khmer outpost city.
Lavo is modern day Lopburi. It was once ruled by Khmer but eventually lost its power and gotten swallowed up by Ayodhaya. PraNarai loved the city so much that he built a palace there

Lol all good! So they're all part of the Ayodhaya Kingdom, but Songkwae and Ayutthaya are different cities.. they are like miilllleeeeessss apart lol i had to look it up too. Coz i always remember songkwae/phitsanulok... and i mix up phitsanulok with sukhothai a lot haha

Yes they are different cities. Song Kwae is known as a province of the Ayodhaya kingdom. The problem that always gets mixed up is Ayodhaya Kingdom and Ayuttaya the capital lol. So you can say Karakade is an Ayodhaya girl but not an Ayuttaya girl. Wow confusing hahahha

Huh??? Hahahaha. I'm so lost now. So the reason for your different spellings is because they are different. . . ? I thought that was just how you spelt it. Haha. Oh I am so dumb.
Well actually the kingdom and the capital had the same name! But people spell and pronounce it differently so that people learning it can separate it. The kingdom is pronounced Ah Yo De-ah, and the city Ah Yoot Ta Ya
