Pikuntong is interesting so far. But the thing that kinda bothers me, and it's not just in the latest borans, but in modern lakorns too, is that a lot of the actresses wear big circle lenses. It's kinda of distracting. They are making look too modern.

Wow, surprisingly I really like this boran so far. It hasn't dragged. But the kids storyline is so similar to Bla Boo Tong, with the mean mom and daughter who abuse the nang'ek and she later becomes a princess. I could have sworn it was another remake of Bla Boo Tong AGAIN! :eyetwitch...

I find it funny how back in the old borans, the special effects were pretty corny. Like how they make people/things appear or disappear, or when they have to make up imaginary places like where giants or monsters live, or when they shoot powers. But I actually prefer those effects. Because...

I'm watching the one on Youtube as well, and while it is a very good lakorn, some parts don't have any sound, and like everyone has been saying, A LOT of scenes are cut out to the point where the lakorn doesn't make sense. I saw a lot of the uncut scenes and they actually make the story better...

Just saw the 1st episode. It was sooo BORING. Yeah, most of the scenes are done with graphics, so it doesn't even look real anymore. I think i might possibly skip this boran as well. :yuck:

LOL it looked soooo fake when she fell into the pot. And it was such a tiny pot too! It also felt rushed, and it was only Aiy that got to see her die. The old version did this scene better of course, because we actually get to see them planning it out, and then when Euy finally falls in...

Wow, the most romantic and best part of the old version was when the King came to Euy's house with all his servants, and all the village people got to see her dressed up as a Queen and marry the King, and then head off to his kingdom. In this version, the servants come to get her instead. And...

I think what a lot of people are forgetting is that a remake is ALWAYS supposed to be the story changed around, which is why it's called a REMAKE. Remakes usually are bad, because people will always compare it to the original. But in the case of the recent Boran remakes, they are bad anyways...

Wow, I don't know how to feel about the grown up parts. It's different obviously, but it's interesting. The original praek that no one liked actually has a small part in the lakorn LOLLL. I like the actress that plays the nangek, but wow, I don't like the character of Aiy in this version...

Yeah I think so. Cuz in the old version, the mom turns into that tree thing after Kaniti and Aiy killed and ate the eggplant, and then they grow up. In the latest ep, they already killed and cooked the eggplant, so probably about 2-3 episodes more.

I completely agree. The beginning was good, it seemed like how borans are back in the day. It dragged the past couple of weeks cuz of the 6 couples, but now it's at least going somewhere with the god coming down and all the action.

I just got around to watching this again and wow...the clothes really do look bad. I guess the guys' clothes are ok, but the girls clothes are wierd. It's like they all need a different color outfit, and the hair styles are odd looking, waaay different than the normal borans we usually see...

Do the monkeys really get older? I just noticed that the little girl monkey stayed the same throughout the lakorn, over 3 generations, so she should be a middle aged woman by now. Maybe the writers made a mistake... :blink:

haha the green guy should have just gotten with Jekalang. I think the reason why the purple guy didn't get with Jekalang was that she didn't like him back, and he didn't want to wait forever. Plus she only wanted him because she didn't get any of the other guys and she was desperate. So he...

Piwanalate was her name. I thought it was dumb how they made her strong throughout the lakorn, and then made her act immature and then kill her off really fast near the end. I think the part when she gets eaten by Mekasit, that was a man dressed up as her. :huh:

yea, most of the girls were princesses so they just had to be all proper and ladylike. It was a regular lakorn.

Yea, its the same nang'ek. She plays a really really cool role. The tough girl who kicks ass. Like the character of Karakate in GPJS, but Nakee (the n'ek) doesnt cry as much as Karakate. lol yea, MNG has mostly females in the lakorn. In GPJS, they had a lot of males.

About the "new world", I did not understand it (still wished I knew Thai, LOL) but from what I remember, the "old world" disappeared and was gone, and then a new world came, but with different people and a new story. I think that's what "reborn" meant. Like some of the people in GPJS...

ooh hehe the guy that played Thookteng was in two other borans that I know of. The first one came a little while before Gro Pet Jet See. It was Buakaew BuaThong. He played one of the bad guys that gets killed by a giant but comes back as a ghost and kills him. I don't remember his name...

hmm..my favorite. I like Jeckalang from Glau Pet Jet See. I know she's not a Nang'Ek i think, but I like how tough she can be when she wants. She'll get mad at anyone who tries to hurt the princes and then she'll kick their ass. It was funny when all them soldiers tried to beat up the giants...

Thoopteng was the jaguar, and Jeckalang was the cheetah. Those two animal people who help the 7 princes.
