Looks interesting. What do you guys think? The next Nkauj Nyab or Chao Fah?
Very Chinesey with all the fighting and clothes. Pretty professional for a Hmong film like Nkauj Nyab. All of it is from an all-Hmong production unlike those Thai camera crew studio that helped shoot Chao Fah and Tsov Toj Siab.I can't believe Hnub Lis did this movie too before getting married and coming to the US. I wonder what other movies she also did. It's from New Age Entertainment. They do all their special effects. I think New Age is one of the leading Hmong studios for making Hmong films. This story reminds me so much of The Life of Shong Lue Yang, the famous Mother of the the Hmong Writing creator, just because it has to do with seeing God and helping villagers back in the olden days.

Overall, I think shooting and making films overseas is so much better. I just watched Daim Duab with my parents. OMG, my parents could not stand the leads' Hmonglish. They were making fun of Houa Lee and Dao Vue's pronunciations. Over $100,000 to make Daim Duab? I'd say it's not worth it. The storyline and acting was just horrible and unbelievable. The cinematography is decent though. Hopefully, us Hmong will improve on our films in the future.
