Hmong boys will be hmong boys, whatever range of age they are. They always expect their parents (mainly the mother) or their sibling (mainly the sister) to do everything for them, pack their clothing and whatever little thing it is that they could had simply done it themselves.

Anyway this is probably just a small communication problem, just makes sure you communicate with him better next time because boys tend to skip important details or get those details confuse.

I'm glad you guys got things sorted out. My mom love his boys so if this ever happen to them she would had just gone herself to give him his stuff, that's how much she loves them, compare to us girls.

I agree my mother is sexist like a lot of other Hmong mothers. She totally favors her boys all the time. Sometimes it really pisses me off. My dad on the other hand is somewhat neutral. Guess we're just suppose to accept it because of our culture, however, I do see parents becoming more lenient now when dealing with their daughters. Girls I find are more outgoing and ambitious than boys. Oh well, this sexism thing in our Hmong culture will just help us treat our own daughters better and more equally to our sons when we have our own kids.
