Do you guys want to see Sac Hmong New Year to do Mr Hmong California this year? If you guys want to see then you guys must reply to them now asap and also make sure you guys let them know what is right and what is wrong too ok so there will not be any mistake like last year.

Here is what they say about Mr Hmong California if you guys want to see Mr Hmong California this year:

Mister Hmong California:
Many of you have been asking that we host a similar pageant for the young men. Before we do anything, we'd like to get a feel for how many people actually would be interested in participating.

Therefore, if you are an unmarried Hmong man over 18 years old, residing in California, and is serious about becoming a contestant, please email us your name, age, phone no., and email address. You can send it to our secretary at: fkue@juno.com. We'd like to hear from you no later than April 30, 2008l.

Once we know the level of interest, the board will discuss and make a decision one way or another.

In addition, if you're a business that's interested in sponsoring a contestant, please also contact us.

Thank You.

SHNY Staff

nah, no thanks. because of all the controversies going about the girl pageants already, why trouble with the boy pageants too? It's a waste of time and money. we already know that judges cheat (or if not judges, the people who analyze the judge results) to pick their winner.
I'd rather see the money being spent on dance contests where people can actually distribute the money/prizes among group members instead of keeping it to one person who doesn't really make a difference... such as previous girl pageant winners who only went to thailand to take pictures and hand out candy.

exactly. didn't she say she was going to go there to help them? she didn't do anything beside giving candies, taking pictures, and trying to become a star right? she didn't make a difference.

lol...you might be surprised that there are actually some guys who are actually interested..... its been a while and I think it would be nice to see a Nraug Hmong California. I would love to see it happen because the last one I remember seeing was in Fresno way back in 1985-86 or something like that...

Yea, I want to see one too. I always wanted to go see Nraug Nab in Minnesota but I couldnt. I dont have the time to. But yea, in California, I will for sure go. I have many friends who can speak Hmong clearly and they are interested in going for it. They think its funny and cool.

Have your friends email Fue kue to express their interest. According to him, if they have enough guys then they might do one. Personally, I think its easy money if they're interested. All you gotta do is walk a few rounds and give a good speech...lol... if these boys can't do that then i have NO COMMENT!!! lol...

lol...I think I know too! But the issue is if SHNY can coordinate one. After what happened with the girls pageant, I too am kind of hesitant.

I was really hesitant to send my boys to the SAC singing competition last year because I didn't know what to expect. They were so disorganized and had me running from place to place trying to get the CD's to the right persons. It was amazing that MTV and Kong Meng even took 1st and 3rd! I'm glad we're retiring them from singing competitions this year.

If you are going to host that pageant, please choose a different name and not "Mr. California." But then again, it will just be a waste of time!
