What is your normal everyday makeup routine?

Hello Ladies,

My everyday makeup routine is very simple, thank goodness because I am pretty lazy when it comes to even making myself looks presentable . First thing first is applying my face with Aveeno daily nourishing moisturizer with sunscreen broad spectrum spf 30, protecting my face from the sun then eyeliner for my upper eyelids (it is either the liquid or the plastic pencil eyeliner kind), sometimes I would outline my lower eyelids as well with the plastic pencil eyeliner & a little of Max Factor Pan Stik cream under my eyes (sometimes I could be really lazy & not having it on) and sometimes I apply C O Bigelow lip gloss the spearmint flavour when my lips get dried, I love its smell.

I used proactive but I mixed it. I washed my face with the proactive+ cleanser then the toner, followed by Lamcome (genefique). I love genefique it's the best facial serum ever. I used the old proactive repairing lotion though because their new repairing lotion dry my face up. I used oily Olay SPF 15 moisturizer. It works great and cheap. It makes my face glow.

As far as makeup goes, I don't use any. I only used makeup once a year and that is for new year...but if there's a special occasions such as weddings or graduation I do try to put makeup on but I end up wiping it off. Makeup doesn't last long on my face because I feel like something is stuck on my face lol

@byebye, I guess you must have good skin :). Having tons & tons of makeup on for a very long period of time do affect one's facial skin.

I try to keep my normal makeup routine as simple as possible because I feel that I would be wasting my sleeping time over it if it is not simple lol. Putting eyeliner on my eyes do wonders, it make my eyes look lively and bigger lol. On special occasions, I put some cheek blush, sometimes I would just pinch my cheek if I don't have it lol, mascara & curl my eyelashes. I think in all my life I have only put fake eyelashes on twice, they did wonders. I don't usually put lipstick, I dislike the taste of it :yuck:, I apply lip gloss instead.

My only problem is that I usually rub my eyes with my fingers so when it happens I look like a panda lol.

I keep my daily makeup routine simple because I love to go all out when I go to parties and etc. Brows, mascara (this I pack on a lot), eyeliner when I feel like I look scary (liquid), concealer (only on under eyes), & blush. Then I’m good to go, to work that is.. LOL

On a normal day-to-day basis I don't wear  makeup at all. Only moisturizer. BUT I love makeup, so when I do wear it, I go all out. Sometimes I put on a face full of makeup on a whim. I don't normally like to go "natural" or the "nude" look. When I wear makeup, I put on bright eyeshadow combinations, I draw in my brows, put on blusher and sometimes bronzer. The whole shebang. Lol What I don't wear are false lashes because I honesty struggle with those. For the life of me, I can never get it right the first time. The good thing is that I have naturally long lashes. Mascara enhances them perfectly fine.

The thing I hate is the makeup removing part. Lol I wish I could just snap my fingers and make it disappear. Although I get lazy, I never leave makeup on overnight. It's gross and not healthy for your skin. My normal makeup wear time is about 8 hours. Depending on what I'm doing.

I haven't gotten into using serums and stuff yet. I have sensitive skin so I try not to venture from what I already use. When a product doesn't work for me, I get hives. Who else experiences this?

I bought the Neutrogena Helioplex Ultra Sheer Dry Touch sunscreen once, and it burns my skin? It gave me dry skin patches and it would hurt when I tried to use moisturizer. Yeah, I never used up that product!

First I wash my face with Pure-fect cleanser by Biotherm (toner sometimes comes after but I usually forget), then I use either the matching moisturizer or the aqua source gel moisturizer and if I go outside then I put on my Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vita sunscreen on over my ordinary moisturizer. If I'm feeling extra adventurous I put on mascara and lip gloss LOL

My skin is super sensitive and I break out easily. I tried so many...many products both expensive and cheap but I still find myself coming back to proactive. I haven't found a product over the counter that works like proactive. I wished I did though so I don't have to order or go to the mall and buy it.

My skin is so picky about serum and lotions that I can't just use whatever I want. Genefique is very gentle and goes smoothly on my skin. It doesn't break me out and I noticed the difference when I used it. The only thing is, I don't want to pay $100+ for like a 1.69 oz. And I usually no matter how careful would spill some of it.

@Zoe...My skin is very oily. I have to really care for it for it to not break out. That is why I don't use make up because I don't want it to clog my pores. I don't own a mascaras, liquid eyeliners, or blush. I have tried so many moisturizer and found oil of Olay works best. But my must do is using make up wipes before washing my face. Especially, the one that has vitamin C...it gives me this fresh glow look.

Me, every day is just the usual. Wake up, wash face, then done. I love the natural more because make-up ruins your face no matter how good you are at taking care of it.

The sun rays and free radicals are damaging your skin already, mind as well put on some glamour! Lol jk, I know some people prefer no makeup. That's cool. I go without makeup more than with.

I don't like using make up but I have to for work. Suit, heels, and make up. On days I meet clients, I have to add eyeshadows and blushes. Gotta get my hair it's maintenance every 3 months. Thank god I can reimburse that.

how come star make up look so flawless vs real life make up ? I know girls who look better w/o makeup than having one . i know makeup cover flaw but if you have nice skin there no need to wear foundation , just blushes , lip stick & eye shadow is enough .

On special occasions I also put some eyeshadow on matching with what I am wearing. I don't use foundation since I have good skin already. I don't need to darken my brows because they are naturally dark, thick & abundant, I could never keep up with my brows so I would either have them threaded or waxed though waxing irritates my skin. Beauty does come with many sacrifices lol. I could never go all out with makeup because I do not want to see people staring at me lol.

I have not used serum yet though maybe in the future. I had used bronzer once last year just to give a more defined look to my face. I don't know if it was someone's bronzer that I used it with her brush or if I have sensitive skin or if my hormones were changing that cause my face to develop pink spots like pimples where I applied the bronzer on, thank goodness they were on the sides of my face instead of right in front. I was terrified because I am fair skinned, anything on my face would be so apparent & I never had many pink spots like pimples on my face like that before in my whole life. If I get pimples, the maximum number of pimples I get is probably 4/3 and they usually disappear quick unlike these pink spots like pimples. Plus when you have a sister who always look & compare your facial skin to hers, it could be annoying when your facial skin was not up to par as hers lol. I took out one lesson I learned from all of these is do not use other people's makeup stuff, use your own .

I prefer to be makeup free too, but when I have to go work or hang out with friends & there are guys, I want to look nice  & sometimes seeing other ladies out there looking nice, I want to look nice too. Plus again with my sister, she loves it when I dolled up. I do dislike the makeup removal parts too therefore I try to keep my makeup minimal as possible, less removal to do. I use all types of removal stuff - cloth, liquid, soap & etc.

I love to wash my face at night with cold water. Recently I use Neutrogena deep clean facial cleanser I got from a friend but I don't use it daily.

@byebye - I see. How long does Genefique last for you? It is so expensive for such a small bottle/container.

@sarN - I agree with if you have nice skin already then there is no need to wear foundation.
