recommended film: Neak Sré, Rice people

I am not sure if you have watched the film called "Neak Sre or Rice people or Les Gens de la riziere". It is a really good, emotional and a story-telling film. It was directed and script co-written by Rithy Pahn, on of the most Cambodian talented directors. He has made quite a lot of films and most of them are aired in France and other part of the world.

I would write about this director in details later. I hope you go and check this one. I really recommend it. It was premier screened in the Canne Film Festival Festival and nominated in the category of "Best foreign film" in for the Academy Adward in 1994.

I know this movie 'cause my parents love Rithy Pahn.
They just bought this one last month when they found the dvd...but they have seen it years before on tv.
It's a very good movie dealing about society and poverty in Cambodia
...but the story is so sad !
