CAHPTER 10===========================================================================
(Emergency Room)
“If he wasn’t my own blood. I’ll have him arrested.” Grandma stroked Ploy’s hair. “What did he try to do to you?”
Ploy rubbed her bandage upper arm consciously lying on the hospital bed as she looked over to Jessadaporn standing behind Grandma sprouting the devils’ horns, daring her to tell the truth.
“Nothing. It was an accident. I‘m okay.” She begged, “Can we get out of here, Grandma. I hate hospital.”
Grandma turned back to give her grandson a scornful look. “No need to tell me. I can tell.” She patted Ploy, “Okay, you want to get out, then let’s get you back home to recover.”
Then a nurse entered the room, “The doctor wants to discuss the patient’s condition with the relative.”
Grandma walked toward the nurse. “Good. I have many questions to discuss with the doctor about my daughter-in-law.” She turned to Jessadaporn. “You get the release and take Ploy back first.”
The door closed and they were alone. Jessadaporn walked over to sit on the chair beside the bed. “I turned into the bad guy in this event.” He looked lazily at her. “You’re the one who pushed yourself on the blade. Call this your lucky day, just you wait--” His cell rang and he picked it up, “Hello, baby…I haven’t forgot.” Jessadaporn hung up and he looked at Ploy in annoyance. “On second thought, I’ll give you a pass today.” He grabbed her good arm and dragged her up. “Up and out of here. I have ladies to entertain.”
“Oi, can you be slower.” He pulled her out of the room and headed out in wide strides to the reception desk.
Jessadaporn shook his head, “Tell that to my little buddy. It’s 8 pm. He used to being iron hard right now in heaven.”
Ploy grounded herself and faced him, “Why do you do that? Tell be about your…adventures.”
For a second, he told she was going to cry. Jessadaporn laughed, “Did you expect fidelity? If you can play around, I can to. Are you just tick off because I cut your need short with Vee?”
Ploy bitted on her lips. This was the first time she has seen him in weeks, and he kept coming on to her before she can make her play. Ploy looked straight into his eyes, “Jessada, there is nothing between me and Vee or any other men. And I forgive you for today. I understand that you are suspicious that I have an ulterior motive but I just want a second chance. But you won’t give me one. I called you but you blocked me. How am I suppose to show you I’ve changed when you won’t even associate with me?”
Jessadaporn narrowed his eyes at her, “You better check yourself out before you end up in the morgue.” He walked out of the front entrance.

(Inside the doctor’s office)
Grandma’s face lighted up to what the doctor had just revealed to her. “Are you sure?”
“Yes, the patient is one month pregnant. It’s early and the patient may not be aware because of the confusion with her medications side effects. I have prescribed some vitamins for you to take back to your grand daughter-in-law. She must stop taking her current medications immediately and soon she will recognize her nausea and tiredness as pregnancy symptoms.”
Grandma smiled wide. Knowing the sex addict her grandson had morphed into, there was no doubt he fathered the baby. This must be what Ploy was hiding for her, acting so jumpy and strange. It is time for her to be the fairy godmother. “Thank you, doctor.” She walked out of the hospital and pulled out her phone to call her lawyer. “Khun Ton, I need to see you right now.”

(Pholdee Residence)
“Kaew, where’s Nu Ploy?”
“She said she was tired when she returned and headed up to her room.” Kaew looked weirdly at her madam, “Khun Ying, you’re back late and you’re unusually happy.”
“Yea, does the old not have a right to happy once in a while?” Grandma smile wider and handed a prescription bag to Kaew, “Trash the prescriptions bottles in the kitchen that Nu Ploy is taking. The doctor gave orders that they no longer serve a purpose. And these are vitamins to be taken with meal.”
“Yes, madam.”
“When did that grandson of mine leave?”
“Leave?”
“I told him to drive Nu Ploy back.”
“No, madam, Khun Ploy returned in a taxi.” Grandma spoke aloud, “It’s time for Jessadaporn to come back home.”

(Next morning at United Thai Bank)
“Grandma…What are we doing here?” Usamanee asked. First, Grandma personally oversaw her take the new vitamins the doctored prescribed her. Then Grandma had demanded her to accompany her and the family lawyer Ton to attend an important matter.
An office worker intercepted them. “Khun, you can’t enter there; there’s a bid going on.” Ploy recognized the worker as Dao the head event organizer. Then as Dao came face to face with Grandma, her eyes popped as she recognized who she was talking to. “Sorry, Chairman. I haven’t seen you in the office lately.”
“No problem, Dao. Update me on the bid progress.” Dao started to summarize the current bids on the properties that the bank has acquired.
Ten minutes later, Grandma grabbed Ploy’s hands. “Come on, it’s time to crash the party.”
The bidding reception was filled with sharp dressed men each huddling in their circle and having a race to see who’s bidding number is raised the most to beat out the competitor. Jessadaporn caught sight of his Grandma and Ploy entering. He stood up and walked to his Grandma.
“Grandma, what are you doing here?”
Grandma gave a disapproving look, “I have let you go wild long enough.” She held her hand to address the crowd, “There are illegal organizations, corrupt politicians, and nuclear weaponry representatives here. Jessada, when do we associate with these rotten tomatoes? You know what their interest in buying our acquired land—to build nuclear plants, store drug—Je where has your sense of moral go?”
“Grandma, we are the top corporation of the South East. We are no longer just a bank. Can you believe the Hua Hin Shoreline is going for 35 million?”
Grandma addressed Dao, “Halt the bid.”
“Yes, Mrs. Chairman.” Dao walked away to the stage to announce the closure of the bid as Jessadaporn stared at his Grandma in disbelief.
“Grandma, do you know what you just did costing our company millions?”
“I know exactly what I’m doing Mr. ex-CEO.”
Jessadaporn narrowed his eyes, “What did Grandma just said?”
“You heard right.” Grandma addressed Lawyer Ton, “Khun Ton, please tell my wild grandson here the news.”
Lawyer Ton hesitated as he saw the obvious anger in Jessadaporn, “Khun Jessadaporn, you’re Grandma had relieve you of your title as the CEO of United Thai Bank and in your place, Mrs. Chairman is installing Khun Ploy as the new CEO.”
Jessadaporn turned his stare to burn into Ploy. Ploy was in utter surprised and she reached for Grandma, “Grandma, what’s going on.”
Grandma turned to Ploy, “I disapprove the direction that Jessadaporn is taking UTB. Therefore, I see that you are most fit to handle the business.”
“Uh, I don’t--.”
Grandma held up her hand to stop Ploy, “Tell me, how would you sell the properties?”
Ploy saw that everyone’s eyes were on her. The bidders were emptying out of the reception and cursing that they will no longer do business with UTB because of their unprofessionalism. Ploy opened her mouth and recalled the information Dao had presented before and she generated her decisions, “First, we should present the downtown community center back as a gift to the underprivileged. We will install UTB to fund the center. This may not generate profit to us, but we have no charity foundation and we need the publicity boost. As for Hua Hin, we should sell it to the Sea World Researchers. Their offer of 20 million is little compare to these biddings, but it will boost our company initiative to be more eco friendly and we will qualify for a tax break. For the series of land over in the North, we should sell them to farmers instead of corporations who will clear the villages out. If this happen we will be criticize for dehumanization.”
Grandma let out an in-your-face-smile at Jessadaporn, “You hear that Khun Dao. The new CEO has spoken.”
Dao joined them and she nodded, “Yes, I will contact these agencies.”
“Oh, Khun Ton,” Grandma waved to the lawyer, “Give my grandson his notice.” Then she turned to Ploy, “That was great. Let’s go out to celebrate your new job.” Grandma grabbed Ploy and dragged her out before Ploy can say anything.
