Really? Ngao Asoke is already being remade again? 2008 doesn't seem to be that long ago. I've seen both versions and honestly, I don't think the 2008 version lived up to the original version. However, I did enjoy the second pairing in the 2008 version though.

I agree with everything you said!! I've watched both versions, loved the original for it's better writing, and adored Pong-Pueng's pairing in the remake. Pueng's acting was terrible, but Pong-Pueng were cute because of their chemistry.

Ahhhhh. I wish Sean-Esther could be switched to something else so that Lily can be casted in here. I'm feeling like how I did when I wanted TooMo for RLSR's remake! Lol. Lily was the only perfect actress for this role!

It's nice that these two are reuniting again for the fans who are waiting to watch them. I don't know how I feel about them in this remake but hey, I said the same thing about Leh Ratree and I surprisingly liked their new rendition because it took a different route from the original and it worked in their favor. The 1999 version will always be an incomparable masterpiece and will always have a special place in my heart however, best of luck to Sean and Esther.

The original version was less dramatic and in my opinion, Ae and Ek had a much better chemistry than Pong-Pueng. Though I thought Pong-Pueng's pairing was nice, Pueng cried beautifully in the 2008 version. I really liked Mod and Oak's pairing in the 2008 version, they were the reason why I continued the lakorn. But despite what I say, I do know that 2008 version was popular and had lots of Pong-Pueng shippers.

Yeah. Despite being an overall bad actress, Pueng's crying was surprisingly really good.

I wasn't as interested in Mod-Oak's pairing. However, they were cute. :)

I don't need Sean to be pra'ek in this lakorn , because pra'ek is so silly.

I'd say that Mod-Oak's story line wasn't the most interesting, but they were definitely cute. I agree that Pueng isn't the best actress, but her crying was good, and for this role, the tears needs to be as realistic as it can be :)

No, why are they remaking this and with Sean and Esther? I mean they fit the role, but I don't want this remade. Honestly I think Ngao Asoke was very very boring and n'ek was so dumb. I don't want Esther to be in here unless they change the n'ek to be smarter and have some edge, but i doubt that will ever happen. Same with p'ek, he is just so dumb in here as well. I apologize for my citizism. I want Sean and Esther in something totally new and unknown to the lakorn world.

Wow! They've giving all of the best remakes to Sean and Esther. Both LR and NA were huge hits everytime, so I'm sure this remake will be another hit. :dance1:

I want Mo in a remake lol
HAHA! You're so cute! Commenting about Mo out of the blue when all of us are commenting about Sean and Esther and why we think they're not suitable/are suitable for it. :coverlaf: :coverlaf: :coverlaf: HEHEHE. I COMPLETELY agree with you though!!!!! :dude: :dude: :dude: :dude: :dude: This has been on my mind for a while now. I want Mo as nang'ek in a remake of a hit Exact lakorn! :spin: :spin: :spin: :spin: :spin: :spin: :spin: :spin: Obviously not Ngao Asoke, because the casting is already confirmed. Plus, as biased as I can be, I know that Mo doesn't fit the nang'ek character. Mo just needs to be casted in a remake of another hit Exact lakorn! Come on Exact! Do something right for once! :numchuck: :numchuck: :numchuck:

NA was so boring... I couldn't even finish subbing it.... draaaaaaaaggy. (the pong-peung ver. btw) All I remember was Peuy just screaming through most of the lakorn. And Pong/p'ek was superbly stupid.

Monthai in 99 version was super stupid too, but Ek and his eyes and the way he looked at Ae  :pervie:
Also no offense I liked Pueng, but Ae was so much better in Ngao Asoke even though it was her first lakorn..
Pleaseeeeeeeeee the 1999 storylinee I don't mind if they make some adjustments like Leh Ratree did, but please dear lakorn heaven don't DO NOT effing follow 2008 version.
Even though Preeyachat in 99 version was weak she stood up for herself when she needed to. In 08 she practically didn't grow any balls until the final episode  :whatever:

I finally joined this forum just to squee about this. I loved the '99 version of Ngao Asoke. Ae and Ek were perfection and had great chemistry. I loved the way he was invade her personal space. I hope they follow that story line rather than the 08 version. I guess they'll have to set it in the 50's/60's to get around tech.

I think Sean can do a good job at Monthai, who has to be one of the dumbest p'eks ever. With good direction, I have faith that Esther will do great. Plus, real kisses! I'm already pre-excited about them possibly restaging the scene where Ek holds Ae's face and constinously kisses her cheeks.

Welcome to AF!

When I saw Ngao Asoke was being remade in 2008 I almost died of excitement until I realized the story line was way diff. I still enjoyed it but not as much as I did the 99

Whoa! I didn't expect Sean and Esther to be casted for the remake of Nago Asoke! I didn't watch Pong and Pueng's version, but I'll definitely watch this version! I miss my SeanEst! I can't wait to see them onscreen again! I would have liked them to be cast for a new lakorn instead but I guess it's okay. As long as I get to see Sean and Esther onscreen again then I'm all good. lol

NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! This was one of my all time favorite lakorns and Exact butchered the original plot with its 2008 version. I was just thinking about it being remade again but had doubts because it's still too early. I don't want them casted in here because in my opinion, they don't suit the roles. I agree that Esther doesn't give off the prim and proper demeanor that Bpee's character has. I've seen her since Ch.3 and she fits bratty and bubbly characters more. In addition, I didn't exactly like Sean's portrayal of Sake in LR because he took it in a different direction by not being as cold-hearted as his original character was written to be. He was wayyyy nicer. Although some people enjoyed that more because it made the lakorn a light comedy, I like Pepper's portrayal better because Sake's character had trust issues, hence the title. Throughout the whole lakorn, he showed no signs of trust issues after he kicked his wife out. I'm scared he's going to do the same to Monthai.
