Wow, I remember this lakorn. It was depressing, especially the ending. Mew fits the part perfectly. I bet they're going to cast Panpan as the daughter. She's not a good actress, but she fits the part perfectly also.

It's been a while since I've watched it. Plus, there were no subs when I watched it. But, like krisyaporn said, this lakorn is about a mother who hunts down the men who gang raped her and her daughter. The daughter becomes mentally unstable after the assault so the mother disguises herself differently each time she goes out to murder the individuals who were involved in the rape. And I may be wrong, but I think the woman's husband was the one who originally ordered or paid the men to hurt his wife and daughter.

In the end, the mother gets revenge, but she goes to prison so her daughter is left in the care of a relative (I think). It was very depressing because the mother (played by Nok Sinjai) had such a miserable life. If I understood it correctly, she was abused by her husband, and her husband was also cheating on her. Whenever she tried to stand up for herself, her husband would always abuse her. And I think that's why eventually the husband got fed up and ordered the men to hurt his wife so she wouldn't have the courage to stand up for herself anymore. The mother only had her daughter to live for. And as if it couldn't get any worse, they were both sexually assaulted by that group of men. The assault was the tipping point for Nok because while she was willing to suffer for her daughter, her daughter was now suffering along with her, and that wasn't okay. It wasn't just about her anymore, her daughter had been hurt and she was going to get justice for them. I think another thing was that the husband had connections so the mother wasn't able to get help from anywhere. So she decided to take things into her own hands, even if that meant she would eventually go to jail for it.

I remember the rape scene vividly. It was raining so they couldn't get home. They stopped by a bar or store nearby to get shelter from the rain. There were a group of men there who were playing cards and who'd been drinking. When the men noticed Nok and her daughter, it was so creepy because they kept gazing at them with perverted stares. Nok and her daughter found shelter at another place but the men eventually caught up to them, and by that time it was nighttime. They appeared out of nowhere too. That scene left a strong impression on me because I was imagining how terrifying it would be to be in that situation. Being surrounded by those men, and feeling trapped, like there was no way I could escape. Plus, seeing my loved one being assaulted a few feet away from me and not being able to help him/her. That scene depicts a realistic picture of what and how rape really is.

Have never seen this lakorn before but seems pretty devastating. Not really my cup of tee lakorn. I hate drama or movies where the mean cast are raped by some scary peoples.

Yeah, I'm really not into too much of a realistic theme when it comes to lakorn. I like to watch mine and get away from all that is wrong with the world. I remembered watching it and feel so sad what the mom/daughter went through at that moment.

Thanks Anonymous for the details. Lately I find that One HD is making lakorns that are realistic and can relate to life situations, first E-sa, then Bang Lung Mek, now this. It's not really my style lakorn, but I'm going to tune in anyways because i have nothing better to do. LOL. So wait, then there's no p'ek then right?

I just happened to stumble across the lakorn on youtube one day (few years ago) and was curious so I watched it. The plot's not my cup of tea either but I guess I stuck through watching it because of the fact that it is so realistic, unlike how lakorns usually are. I was sort of intrigued by that. I mean, I used to love watching crime shows, but now I find that most always make me depressed at the end because they're real life cases. So I rarely watch them anymore. Sigh. Reality sucks.

No problem. And yeah, there was no pra'ek. At least not that I remember. It revolved around the mother and her daughter. Mainly the mother and her quest for revenge. That's why I won't be surprised if Panpan is cast in here as the daughter. She matches the role, but also, the daughter wasn't a challenging character. I mean, she was challenging in that she had to act crazy after the rape, but that's it. The mother is the one who actually requires a good actress to play her because she's going to have to be tough and somewhat psychotic.

If that's the case then they might probably just cast anyone for the daughter role, because so far that i see, the daughter role isn't that important, plus there's no p'ek so no need to fin or jin anyone.

This was the ost for the old version. I don't know the lyrics but every time I hear it, I get so sad and depressed.

Lol. Yeah. There won't be any finning or jinning in this lakorn.

I think they'll cast Panpan because she's young enough and she has that innocent and naïve look and acting. Plus, I think she could pass as Mew's daughter. Unless they want someone younger then they'll probably cast a newbie. I think the actress for the daughter in the old version was around 16 or something. The youngest actress at Exact, excluding children, is probably Panpan, and she's 18 or 19. Although, the actress who played the daughter in the old version did receive recognition for this role too so Exact might not cast Panpan because she's a poor actress.

I love crime shows but it scared me. I used to marathon forensic files, snapped, I almost got away with it, fatal attractions, snapped (killer couple) but I get depressed after watching it because there are so many evil, inhumane human being. Some of the crimes are just mind boggling.

This lakorn it's complicated and depressingly sad. It seemed the mom struggle with one thing after the other. Her only determination and reason to live and fight another day is her daughter.

I love those shows. I don't have cable so I watched them all on youtube. I actually don't watch much tv. Youtube and the internet is where I go to watch everything, lakorns, tv shows, etc. I also love 48 hours. Now I don't watch them as much because like you said, they're too depressing.

Yeah. The mother's life was very depressing. Even when she finally got revenge, she had to spend the rest of her life in jail and away from her only source of happiness, which was her daughter. :(

Panpan is 19, there's also Group Jutarat who is the same age, and Ploy Tanida.
Yeah, there's Ploy too. But I don't think she fits this role. She looks too cheery. And her acting's not all that great. She doesn't have that distinct Thai look either that would make her believable as Mew's daughter. Panpan would be the most suitable, even though she's not a good actress either. But she has the other three factors (age, resemblance to Mew, and naïve and innocent aura) that no other current actress at Exact has. If not her, they should cast a newbie.

Omg. I have hesitated to watch the 1994 version on YouTube, because the storyline sounds very interesting. But watching an 'old' lakorn is generally not my taste of tea (yes, I was born in....1994 huhu). So, I just have watched some scenes of this drama and I remember being afraid of Mathusorn because of her multiple roles and faces.
Just a question about the gang... If I have understood, the judge has acquitted them ? So that's why Mathusorn took a very hard revenge, right ? Because the first scene I've watched, it was about the first murder committed by Mathusorn for the first guy and this guy looked innocent, just like a victim. It intrigues me a lot.

That's why i'm waiting for this new remake because I will watch it with attention.

I'm happy for Mew but Aom or Bee Namthip would have been perfect for this role. Sinjai was (only) 28/29 years old when she played Mathusorn. The young girl 13/14 yo (played by Intira Jaroenpura who was born in 1980).

I'm a fan of Aom, and I'm fond of Bee, whereas I'm not a fan of Mew (but I don't dislike her either). I believe Mew was perfect for this role, even if she's older than Nok was when she played it. Aom isn't a strong enough actress in my opinion to take on a character like this. Even when she tries to come off as strong, like in Ban Lang Mek right now, she comes off as forced, unnatural, trying too hard and a little corny. And this is coming from her fan. Aom does best in goody two shoe roles or stubborn roles, like Namneung in RLSR or her character in the lakorn with Pong. As for Bee, I can see her playing the psychotic part of the mom but I don't think I'd empathize with her as much as the weak and loving mom since she comes off as strong and somewhat raeng. I think Mew fits the part of the mom perfectly in all aspects. She can act and look the part of a caring, broken and selfless mom, but her acting is also good enough to be the complete opposite of that, which is a mom driven to her breaking point and after revenge. Aom looks too innocent for this role and Bee looks too raeng. Although if not Mew, Bee would be the next most suitable actress for this role, from Exact at least. I think even Pok could do it well. I think she'd maybe even do it better than Bee.

I don't remember much about the details of the original since like I said, I haven't watched it in years. But if I remember it correctly, the mom had a husband and her husband was the one who ordered the men to hurt her and her daughter. The husband had connections so when the men were put on trial, the husband used his connections to protect them and himself, instead of his wife and daughter. Again, I haven't watched the lakorn in years so if anything I said was incorrect, anyone can feel free to correct me.

About Nathukorn or Pueng who is daughter of Mathusorn, I think Nita Nikita fit with this role,
because she looks similarity with Mew, and her acting not bad.

Ps. Nita was played as Hathairat in Sud Kaen Saen Ruk(student age)

And she was played Kaen Saneha as Kaekaijerdjarus in child generation (Mew's role)
