Hostels in Thailand. I'm traveling alone.

Hey all,

Seems like I always come here for advice... thanks again.

Wondering if anyone who visited Thailand ever stayed in the hostels. I'll be backpacking there May 11th. If anyone can give me any insights on their experiences, would be grand. I'm not visiting family, just going out there and enjoy myself backing around. Eventually I'm hoping to land a teaching gig in Laos to make some extra cash and travel some more. Also any tips about traveling in Thailand? Any areas to avoid?

Good luck...better stay at a nice Thai hotel...i hear lots of stories of ghosts there in Thailand...lolz..
