I had kaopoon and papaya salad yesterday. It was so good, now I want some more. I'm also craving nam kao. I'll be making it for my cousin's housewarming party at the end of the month, but I can't wait. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I can never get tired of eating it, but it takes too long to make.

right now, I'm thinking lobster. There's a "Boston Lobster Feast" here in Florida, it's all you can eat lobster for $30 per person. The last time that I went there, I bought my own chilli sauce, and it had padek (fermented fish sauce) in there. The waiter was like, what's that smell? :loool:

It's fried rice where the rice is mixed with shredded coconut, ground pork, eggs, and seasoning. Then you makes balls out of them and then deep fry them. After it's cooled off, you break it up and mix it with nam sausage, lime, cilantro, green onions, peanuts. Then you can eat it by wrapping it in lettuce leaves and deep fried peppers. It's really good. I want some now.

I know it takes a long time to make--but so quick to eat it. That's why I only make it on special occassions unless I'm really craving it, I'll make it. My cousin loves it when my sis and I make it, but he doesn't like the nam sausge so he prefers it with ham which isn't bad at all.
