Narkee trending worldwide today!

I can't remember the last time a Thai lakorn trended worldwide like this. I remember Love Sick The Series and I think Ugly Duckling too trended worldwide but I don't remember other lakorns after that. Anyone remembers?

Man kakes me not want to watch the last episode. I don't like sad endings but this one is good good. I'll catch up later with my mom

I'm surprised it ended today. Got me crying bucket of tears when they parted ways. Their love story just break my heart. They can never be together for eternity. Eternity is forever! I love Taew performance in here. She's so beautiful and got me thinking she's a real Nakee. They should've added more scenes or elaborate what happened to his relationship with his father, friends, and how he become a monk. It was a rushed ending but I was satisfied with what happened to the bad guys. They deserved it. Overall this lakorn is beautifully made and added to one of my favorites. ❤

Wow... Eternity? The heavens are so cruel. It's gonna take me days to recover from the ending. Mae Nakee had to do what she had to. If I was her, I wouldn't let them get away. Why such good lakorns like these have to have a sad ending? It makes the lakorn a good drama to remember for a long time but when you think about the ending, you get emotional. I didn't understand much of what was said in the lakorn but it was overall a great lakorn. It's on my favorite lakorn lists as well.

I don't understand much either but the part when she spoke with her grandfather in the cave he did mentioned the word "amatak". I think that stands for eternity. She will be a Nakee goddess for eternity. Human and goddess aren't supposed to be in love. Heaven and earth will always divide them but their love for each other is for eternity.

In the end when you see the fireball coming out of the Mekong, according to legend it represent Naga paying to respect to the lord Buddha. I think this fireball event happen once a year in Mekong river between Lao and Thai border.

Wow, that's interesting to know. I was wondering what that fireball was. Now I don't know what to watch after this. :(

You can look up Naga fireballs and you'll find interesting info on this phenomenon. Lol The fireballs come out the same time every year at the same location.

No, her grandfather said "Even if you are in different places and times, your love will go on for eternity." I couldn't watch the entire episode but I assume that she will have to meditate for another 1000 years if not more that is why he said "I no matter how long it takes, I will wait." That is usually how it is, when a god or goddess breaks their meditation stipulations they have to start over.

I see. Thanks for the translation. So there's a possible chance of her being human after the meditation?

Yep, unless they said somewhere that she is now stuck for eternity, if they did, I missed it lol. Lakorns that end this way are always interesting to me because in like 10-20 years from now when time changes and the world is more advance, I can see them making a sequel and our version will be like "the past" Lol.

So what's the reason for her to meditate another 1000 years? Is it because she killed the bad guys again? If she's being curse to meditate another 1000 years I'm hoping we get a sequel to modern day time with a happy ending.

Spoiler below read at your own risk if you haven't watched.

Because she was supposed to wait til the eclipse pass and let sins and life happen as they should and by going down there she entangled herself in the sins of the people below (what her grandpa said while she was meditating and before her mom killed herself). She left before the eclipse completely passed so it ended everything she worked hard for, for 1000 years.

Rating for tonight's episode hasn't come out yet, but even by last week's standard, it's already the most successful CH3 lakorn this year (even matching CH7's highest-rated lakorn iirc). And between Taew and Nune, I believe the Best Actress titles in award shows in the first half of the year are theirs to grab, with Taew probably having a slight advantage.

Please excuse me if my translation isn't 100% right as I only learned Thai through lakorns. Here's my translation of the ending words of Nakee and her grandfather as their last speech left such a great impact. (Credit of the Naga fireball goes to the fellow sarNies above who mentioned about it.)

Nakee: I've failed Grandfather.
Grandfather: You've failed, but you still succeeded. You've failed to mediate for up to a full 1000 years. But in return you gave up your opportunity to become a human, so that you could protect the person that you love. You've showed to the world, how great your love was. Although you'll be in different worlds/lifetimes, the love between the two of you will be for eternity. From now on, I'll allow you to show the love between a snake (goddess) and human every year for eternity (Naga Fireballs of the Mekong River).

I see why nakee got mad and kill the past people and why she became a stone. They kill her lover and son. The story ties up good with the past and present. Normally i have a hard time understanding the past theme with other lakorns. The present should be a happy ending for them. I haven't watch the ending yet. I'm just ranting
