Wow. Another great interpretation! It makes sense too! I'm not great with that as you can see. Hahaha. I'm pretty simple when it comes to this kind of stuff.
lol..i'm not that good too. I was just browsing on facebook when SDJK uploaded the poem scene. That time, there were a lot of comments from Thai fans who read the novel and they all were trying to translate the poems. I found many people agree with that user, so i quoted him/her. In the novel, there was an indication that Kade chose that poem to encourage Janward. But it didn't translate to the screen.

Ahh @Amata I will wait for your reply!! I think everyone would like to hear your side of the explanation, interpretation.

As you can see, I've replied earlier on my thoughts of the after poetry scene. Mine is a totally different understanding from the admin of that video. But you will present another different side and I'm looking out for you.
Thanks!
It is not strange if some people will have different interpretation in the same poetry. The person who know what it means in his context would be the writer. But most of them passed away. Then they let the readers, listeners be able to use their own imagination. :risas3:

I've watched the video and the translation. I m disappionted the last line dismissed. English there is much better than mine.

I m getting scared if I translate those for you :confused0: as it is not only hard to translate to the other language, but also hard to interpret the meaning to Thai

Anyway the translation in the video just say it word by word. It doesn't explain the meaning hidden. That is what I would like to talk about and don't be surprised if you find other people would think different. Perhaps you maybe right because some scenes in the lakorn are different from the book.

PS . I think the Moon in Date's Klon means woman too.

It's 1000 already I think it will keep going this way forever too.
Anyways even though I am not very active I signed up after BPS and I got interested to see the start of it all.

I have to say the lakota coming out is a miracle itself.

It was announced in 2012 and pope and chompoo were the first names attached. .

Now I like chompoo and maybe she could have pulled it off the playful version but I think she would look too not thai boran

Then chomp was confirmed and her name was fixed to the project for 3 years then came the roller coaster of p'ek changes everyone from tik to ananda to smart were name dropped.

of course people also kept asking for yakech and someone even wanted film rattapoom.

Then chompoo and rome's lakota came out I guess and suddenly everyone wanted rome even petitions were being signed.

Finally in 2015 after 3 years of back and forth the proper cast was announced.

Then came people saying pope had a second lead look and he was not handsome and punjab should've been lead and all.

It took 42 pages to finalize the cast guys and I cannot imagine if even one person was changed right down to the minor roles.

Then I read through and saw that the momentum was slowly building up until ep 4 when suddenly shit hit the fan and everything became a topic. Hundreds of pages flying by in a day all the pervy fangirling and finally the wait for everything.

I don't think any drama ever can replace this one. it has occupied a special place with all the friends of the LSP squad

And I don't think anyone can replace pope. I always feel actors in lakorns are acting that sometimes they portray the characters very well but pope in this lakorn gave me the feeling that he was por date that he was just living and we just peeping in on him if you ask me.

So did anyone else go back like me to wonder how it all began.

CHEERS to everyone and after 2000 pages I'll be back with a post again :cheer::pancarta:

Also can the thai members of the squad think about maybe reading the book and posting excerpts/ summaries / tidbits for us poor non thai people.
I am pretty sure the book will have more date kade moments and convos aaaand I would love it if it were translated or maybe even just summarized in your own words

@Rosi I agree with @Amata that the moon in Janward's and Date's poem refer to Janward since Jan means Moon. Even Kade recognized that they flirt even in the poem.
Credit to Santeti Leekit on FB. This user explained that in the novel Kade intend to encourage Janward with her poem to not underestimate herself. Janward implied that she is a lowly moon, her place is not on the sky but on the ground. So, Kade implied that the moon on the ground like Janward is rare and valuable. But Date was so lost with how good Kade's poem was that he thought Kade is that moon (the rare walking moon) instead of Janward. Luckily i saved his/her translation of the 3 poems coz i found they are easy to understand. I would love to see your translation too when you have time @Amata

Janward's poem:
The lowly moon is out-shined by the sunlight
Makes her light not bright like before
Plus the clouds obstruct her way like the wall
I, then, know my place. It's as low as the floor (ground)

Date's poem:
Though the moon is blocked and out-shined
Flocks of birds still chirp, praise her high
So the moon does care the clouds. why?
The little star shall fly to fight along with the moon

Kade's poem:
The moon on the sky is boring and easy to find
The moon on earth is precious like sapphire
The walking moon that can keep you company is utterly rare
The floating moon on the sky has nothing but the glare
Damn!!!! I love these flirtation poems!!! Everything about BPS is poetic. The writing is ingenious.

Bella on Today Show!

So Beautiful!

Things I understood:
- He praises Bella as someone who everyone can't not love.
- Host says it's rare for Bella to have "something" since she's a woman. He seems to be talking about the fans? Maybe same thing he said about Pope because he mentioned him too.
- They discussed about Kadesurang and her characteristics.
- She says she's seen Pope's other works and wanted to work with him. She's happy to work with him because he's really talented and "kiew" (what does that mean? Haha). He's hardworking and would do his best in his scenes. He also made the set very fun!
- Her life has changed a bit, but she's still the same Belle.
- She is content with her life right now, both personal and professional.
- Her first lakorn was Roy Marn and after filming that she thought to herself that's she's ok in acting. Haha. Although she did say at that time she didn't want anyone to know she was in it.
- She said filming KCP was hard, but the director was her teacher so it made things easier.
- They went through her list of lakorns and talked a bit about them.
- They said Padiwarada was a classic.
- She says everything is still difficult to play. She's still doing workshops to perfect her characters. (OMG they played her song and played a slomo of the last scene!! My heart!!!)
- Her mom manages her income, she doesn't pay attention to how much she has and doesn't think about being rich or not.
- Host says Bella is one of the rare actresses who's always punctual.
- She says a happy person will maintain a better body.. .? Haha. She uses products and exercise to keep herself good.
- Host says she's charming.
- She says she can't be an actress forever, then turns to her fans and goes "unless you guys want me to" shyly. Hahaha.
- She says that if plans don't change PLK will be Popella as leads, but since it'll be a while she wonders how much older shell age when they start filming. Haha. He says you won't age that bad! And also says if they change the leads he won't watch.
- Says PKNH was difficult as well. She said something about "this year." Is she saying it's gonna air this year???
- Bella says Pope is Khun'P and no one else can be him. The host agrees, that role was made for Pope.
- OMG this host, "If the sequel to BPS has Pope, but not you how do you feel?" Haha. She was puzzled, but the fans were like "Nooo!" So she went "the fans have answered."

PellBope?? Hahaha.

Yeah, come more often and join us in our random conversations.
She has two upcoming lakorns that are currently in the process of being filmed.

Yeah. At first I just thought she chose that poem to spite Date. Haha. Since they both spoke so highly of this moon. Even right after that she was all "Even though this moon is pretty, its still only a half moon."

May i know what is the different between Klong and Klon? My guess is that Klon has a strict rule when it comes to rhyme while Klong is loosely structured. Because it's clear that Date and Janward's Klong sound less rhymed than Kade's Klon. Let me know if i understood it correctly.
They are different. I 've pasted 2 charts here

Klon hok (Klon 6) – Kade’s Klon

The line links show words that must have vowel rhyme . Just try to listen Kade’s Klon on the video. Kade’s Klon has consonant ryhme too. It would help to understand.

Blue and black circles show the same intonations that must be used with those words, the Thai language has 5 and the black line links show the words that must have vowel rhyme. Just try to listen Jaanwad‘s and Date’s Klong.

I was just searching on wiki about this. Thanks for your explanation. It made sense. Both Klon and Klong have their own structures and rhyme rules that you have to follow. Klong is a traditional style with a complicated pattern while Klon is a more modern one with a neat-pattern structure. I learnt a lot today...lol. Not so different from Cambodia, we also have very difficult poem rules which are not easy for foreigners to learn. @phatman that's not so difficult, dear:p
I have read them again. They are different from many people who interpret including mine, especially Date's poem
I would love to see your interpretation too as a native speaker. The one i quoted just sound good to me as a foreigner.
