Canon or Nikon (DSLR cameras)

Okay so I am dying to get rid of my camera at the moment because I really want to buy a new one. I'm currently using a canon right now. I love it and I think it's great but since I'm deciding to buy a new one, I'm really undecided between a canon and a nikon. Both are very good. I've been reading reviews, talking to some people and they're giving me the same answer. Both cameras are great.

I prefer Nikon because the quality seems better to me.
