I don’t see how it is a surprise.
Let me guess : he’s gonna play the man who in surface has the most perfect family and a good wife but who will be unable to keep it in his pants when he’s gonna meet a younger, prettier woman and he’s gonna find himself torn between his family and his affair (and will end up regretting hurting his so nice wife)

^ Well, GMMTV is leaning towards the younger demographics that's why I thought it's a surprise. =)

I think he wouldn't take a role of cheater again because he said to be kinda bored of this type of character by himself

I'm reading some positive feedback regarding Pong and Jane pairing. And this is actually doing slightly better in the ratings compared to GMMTV's other weekday dramas (Min-Win and Bright-Mai in particular, amongst others).
