Hi giys, been trying to find a childhood movie for a long time but no luck. Praying someone knows.
It's about some kind of sea/fish princess who marries a painter/scholar and they have I think 5 kids together. One day someone tries to rape her and she kills him. She is summoned back to the sea.
The husband remarries to a stepmother who beats the kids. The oldest son takes all the kids to the sea and throws the tear pearls into the sea and calls out for their mom.
I'm thinking it's a late 1990's movie. Any help will do. Thank you!
