@RakLakornNYK Nepotism runs Bollywood. The Jhanvi Kapoor thing really pissed me off highkey. The only reason she blew up was because of her mother Sridevi passing away! and yeah the Suhana vogue shoot was crazy! But her daddy is SRK the King of Bollywood. What he says goes so yeah.

dont even get me started on Karan lol hes the biggest butt kisser in Bollywood. He only associates with you if you are important or big in Bollywood. When kangana called him out on it, it was so satisfying!

Nepotism is a double-edge sword, I can't completely hate it because I can understand the economics behind it all, plus I'd be the biggest hypocrite out because my favorite films are made by directors + stars actors/actresses who are the son & daughters of big wigs there. My issue with it isn't the starkids themselves but the system itself.

@SuzieJ Kangana is one daring woman to call out people, go against so called influencers! She has a messed up personal life but when it comes to acting, she delivers it. KJo is the same guy who tried to sabotage Anushka's career but cast her later in his films because she was India's most eligible bachelor's GF (now his wife).

@x.ATKD.x Yes i completely agree. A lot of my faves came as a product of nepotism but the only issue i have with it is when producers and directors give priority to star kids over those that dont have any previous connection to anyone in Bollywood

@RakLakornNYK yeah kangana is a great actress and very daring about speaking out about certain issues in bollywood. she reminds me of Priety Zinta because of that! I admire certain parts of her. Wish she wasnt a little homewrecker though or else i would be totally in love with her!;

@RakLakornNYK also Tiger Shroff is a star kid as well! The market is flooded with them. Alia is a good actress so im fine with her. She did great in Highway! Jhanvi wasnt bad in Dhadak. As long as thess kids can deliver than i wont have an issue with them

@x.ATKD.x the system also include audience. How could they choose Ranbir Kapoor over Ranveer Singh, Alia over Parineeti, Katrina (thanks to Salman) over Priyanka, Kareena over Priyanka (again).
Bollywood will become worse than this in near future.

@SuzieJ - That's what I want them to fix, access to outsider's. The discussion deserves a more nuanced take by the industry but sadly its been reduced to just the word "nepotism" this & that. I'll still hype up Bwood though cause the content I've been seeing is still gold.

@RakLakornNYK the audience is intrested in looks over talent lol Ranbir, Alia, Kareena, and Katrina are all considered better looking than their competition. The only star kid that i find has serious talent is Rani Mukherji. But again she wasnt appreciated enough due to her being a bit less attractive than the other girls. She was still really popular but she deserved more in my opinion

@SuzieJ Yes dowry is a problem :( changing slowly with laws and all but until people stop thinking about prestige and get that girls can be independent of a man....

Janhavi Kapoor’s debut was a very lame Hindi remake of an excellent and a super-hit Marathi movie. The only thing good about Dhadak was the title track

I'm okay with them if they could deliver but it's also about opportunities. I wouldn't like it if someone takes away my opportunity because they have nepo papa when I'm better than them in terms of talent.

The thing with Alia and KJo is, KJo ruined Pari, Shraddha and others' career with his PR because they were her direct competitors. Now he wants to make her the Queen and Jahnvi, the princess.. by how, robbing outsiders' opportunity!

I've a friend who's a journalist and she keeps telling me all the inside stories which has made me to stop admire the actors. Even the likes of Sonam, Deepika, Anushka, SRK, Shahid. It's like everything they project about themselves is fake

@NongS yes i am afghani :) hopefully soon the new generations of indians and afghan will realize that woman are human too and can be anything that a man can be as well! I only watched a few scenes from Dhadak so i cant judge the whole movie. Has jhanvi been confirmed for anything else?

@RakLakornNYK that is why even though i love many stars, i dont act surprised when bad news about them comes out. A lot of other fans try to defend their favorites no matter what but i know what i see on screen is not really them. i know that these stars are poeple as well and can do wrong too

@x.ATKD.x Who is your faves in Bollywood lately besides Sid and Pari? I love my Fawad khan but hes been gone from Bollywood due to that ban on pakistani actors. Even though he is not technically from Bwood i cant get enough of him. Hes so handsome

Funnily enough pari is in Thailand right now lol

At this point in time I favor all the actresses over their male counterparts (can't lie though I have a bias towards Anu, Sonam, Radhika, Alia + Swara) The only man worthy of my time right now is Rajkummar Rao lol.

Girl! Don't get me started on FK, my heart hurts when I think about him.
